    I got the same thing last fall, + NFL Sunday Ticket for free and they replaced my POS HR34 with a HR44. I have never asked before, have the Premium package, and was out of contract. I did have to agree to a one year contract.

    Season Record Issues

    My sports season recordings are intermittently stopping on my HR44 as well. Seems to be a common problem over on DBSTalk and the DirecTV forums. A reboot every two weeks keeps them going. Hopefully DirecTV fixes it soon.

    Mine does the same thing. If you hit pause and play it usually restarts. I finally gave up and use the Pandora on my Onkyo receiver or the TV.

    The clients will do Doubleplay. i just tried it on my client to be sure. It works the same as my hr34. The Genie clients are silent.

    Thanks to all the responses. I decided to keep it and hooked it and two clients up yesterday. No issues with speed. The genie is smoking fast at scrolling through the guide, bringing up menus, etc. Even the clients change channels at normal speeds. Glad I kept it........

    I have an am-21 for the exact reason you need one. Occasionally we get horrible weather. The am-21 allows me to watch and record local OTA channels when the satellite goes out. It integrates the channels into the guide so you can record them just like a normal satellite channel.

    No, Deca modules do not require power. Only the internet connection kit and the SWim power supply.
