    What is Orby TV?????

I don't think all encryptions are easily hacked, look at standard cable TV, those ones use CableCard and you can use your own CableCard Receiver, so I still think using a card based like that can se applied to satellites as well, why they do exists in Europe and those ones are not cracked yet.

    What is Orby TV?????

So according to what you are saying, using the example of how Cell phones work, you are saying that all cellphones SIM cards should be locked, now days no cellphone is locked, maybe they are carrier locked, but within that carrier you can use any SIM on any cellphone, in my opinion this should...

    What is Orby TV?????

Guys I've read all the 10 pages of this thread and I think (I mean I wish) the Receiver could just use a CAM card as in Europe, is a shame that they are using the All America (Canada to Argentina) decryption system instead of a CAM Card as in Europe. Using a CAM Card reader would make it a way...

KU Band Transponder gets decent signal but 0 SNR, what can be done to fix it?

You are right, We got the same power, but I forgot to ask Cham what SR he got, I think that people in the US will get 1000 SR while I'm getting 32720

KU Band Transponder gets decent signal but 0 SNR, what can be done to fix it?

So that means that signal of north america is intended for USA or Mexico and not Canada

KU Band Transponder gets decent signal but 0 SNR, what can be done to fix it?

Where are you located Cham? You don't seem to have any peak at 11800 H

KU Band Transponder gets decent signal but 0 SNR, what can be done to fix it?

According to that pdf file, there's two 11800 (Horizontal) frequencies, one for NAFTA and the other one is for South America, so that means why I'm getting high power (about -40db) because I'm getting some signal from both. Once ago I did a blind scan and as far as I remember was able to get sr...

KU Band Transponder gets decent signal but 0 SNR, what can be done to fix it?

Guys, This is the information taken from another transponder that belongs to the same NIT DVB-S Orbital Position: 116.8W Frequency: 11.800 GHz Modulation: 8PSK (DVB-DSNG/Turbo/DVB-S2) Polarity: Horizontal Symbol Rate: 32720 MSps FEC: 3/4 Some of you claim (Cham) that the SR is about 1000 so...

KU Band Transponder gets decent signal but 0 SNR, what can be done to fix it?

Brct203, the weird thing is that I'm able to tune the higher frequencies of that NIT, 12040 H 12080 H 12100 V All those frequencies I'm able to tune and pretty much those ones have about the same db (~ -45db) Here's is the spectrum from 11790 to 11810

KU Band Transponder gets decent signal but 0 SNR, what can be done to fix it?

Hi guys, I'm trying to tune 116.8W @ 11800 H Here is the NIT Here is the BlindScan As you can see from the graphic, the 11800 has a decent db (-40db) which in comparison to 11480 that has about -45db and I'm able to tune that frequency but the 11800 I can't. Here is what I get if I...

KU Band Transponder gets decent signal but 0 SNR, what can be done to fix it?

Guys I was able to tune a Ku Band Transponder with my Chinese 1.2m offset dish, that transponder got pretty decent signal but SNR is 0, that means is too noisy, so I would like to know if is possible to fix?

2.4 meter Prime Focus high quality dish performs worse than a 90 cm Chinese offset dish on Ku

I'm using a PCI express satellite turner card with EBSPro, that software shows me the db I'm getting.

2.4 meter Prime Focus high quality dish performs worse than a 90 cm Chinese offset dish on Ku

One more question: According to the manual, this antenna should give 47.0 dBi gain at midband (+/- .2dB) and according to manual, a Chinese 90 cm should give 40.32 dBi @ 12.5 GHz. So in other words if my 90 cm is giving mi -35 db, I should get -27 db (- 35 + 7 = -27) right? Here are the links...

2.4 meter Prime Focus high quality dish performs worse than a 90 cm Chinese offset dish on Ku

Hi guys it's been a few days and finally the bad weather got better so I was able to test a few toys that just came to my door. I bought a couple of prime focus lnb + a feed horns First I tried an Inverto Black Pro C120 with a primesat prime focus feedhorn rated for f/d =0.41: I got...

2.4 meter Prime Focus high quality dish performs worse than a 90 cm Chinese offset dish on Ku

Cool idea, but what should be the length of the metal part, does it matter or doesn't? That's gonna help to measure the distance from the center of the LNB to the edges of the dish and it should be the same distance in the whole dish (prime focus) right?

2.4 meter Prime Focus high quality dish performs worse than a 90 cm Chinese offset dish on Ku

I tried different "angles" of the LNB, in other words I moved slightly and tried to match the distance to the center of the dish by "eye", also with a caliper but I think I'm gonna need a laser device to measure the distances, I was using a flexometer but is soo difficult to do measurements with...

2.4 meter Prime Focus high quality dish performs worse than a 90 cm Chinese offset dish on Ku

After doing more tests about putting the LNB lower or higher distances from the dish-feedhorn and I got better results with the offset Ku LNB than the Invacom + feedhorn. With the offset I got -44db. With the invacom + feedhorn I got -51db. With the Chinese 90 cm metal dish offset dish I got...

2.4 meter Prime Focus high quality dish performs worse than a 90 cm Chinese offset dish on Ku

Thaynks for the advice N6BY and Titanium, after doing the string test, the dish seems to be flawless, doesn't seems to be a noticeable gap between the strings, so now back to do some tests about what should be the exact position of the focal point, but I'm still wondering why the performance is...

2.4 meter Prime Focus high quality dish performs worse than a 90 cm Chinese offset dish on Ku

About the feedhorn + the LNB invacom, I did lots of tests with different positioning of the feedhorn threading (from 0 to the LNB to 0 mm to the dish). In pretty much all tests it gave me the same results, the only way I was able to get a little bit better results was to putting further away the...

2.4 meter Prime Focus high quality dish performs worse than a 90 cm Chinese offset dish on Ku

I did and I got about the same results so now I have to check for another LNB that designed for prime focus dishes for real, what I still don't know is why invacom claims their LNB is designed for prime focus dishes which is clearly false https://www.gionlineshop.com/Downloads/ADJUSTfeedHORN.pdf

2.4 meter Prime Focus high quality dish performs worse than a 90 cm Chinese offset dish on Ku

When I measured the blue line, I did it only taking in count the inner part of the dish What's the string test? how to measure the leaning angle of the face of the dish?

2.4 meter Prime Focus high quality dish performs worse than a 90 cm Chinese offset dish on Ku

I was lucky, my brother came today and he helped me to measure yellow and blue. Blue 243 cm Yellow 40.5cm Yeah look up for the GI-209P, if it is universal, yes because I really need an universal LNB

Well according to the manual that dish can be used in Ku or C band https://poulsat.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Prodelin_2.4M-C-Ku_1252_Assembly-Manual.pdf
