New installation help for condo in Auburn, AL

It depends on the warehouse in your location. My office just received over 100 622's for installs and upgrades. We have to burn through all of them until another shipment is delivered. Our New Connect work orders call for "622/722".

New Dish Service Installed Today (211K)

Frank is correct. It was a sub, the PVC doesn't appear to be the DNS elbows either. The job is fine and will work, it's not necessarily "wrong." Some SUBS aren't required to run orange lines, so I've heard. Interesting he replaced the line because the DTV cable was allowed. He knew what would...

Any update on the mysterious channel 213 "local weather" channel that was promised?

Out of curiosity. Do they QA post that you make? I ask this not being rude in any way shape or form.

How to go from a dual to a single reciever

MDC took it to a whole different level than what you wanted. An EHD is an External Hard Drive. You're able to hook up an EHD to a 211 and have DVR capability. It was never mentioned so I'm not sure where it came from.

How to go from a dual to a single reciever

Yes. You're on it. If you disconnect from UHF on the diplexor, and run a cable from the kitchen and connect onto UHF then you'll now have the kitchen as the tv2. If you take the cable that runs into the bedroom off of UHF and connect to the red cap then you can put the 211 into the bedroom...

    No More 129 Here?

129 is still being used with hd.

How to go from a dual to a single reciever

It's easy if there is a diplexor after that ground block ( picture ). If there is a diplexor simply disconnect the UHF/VHF connection and place it on the end with the red cap on it. Then you have a sat signal passing through to what is now your second room. There isn't a second line running to...

    Major receiver problem - 222k

    Bad receiver.

already have problems with my 4 day old 722

It's a known issue with VoD. I see it freeze at almost every install I complete. Let's say 75% of the time. Not sure on the TV2 audio issues, I guess it could be a receiver issue. Overall though, the 722 models are pretty solid. Check into a EHD for potential future issues.

    Combine 500+ and 1000.4 LNB's

I don't see that working either.

    I had a 922 installed today.

FYI, not grounding isn't an autofail for QAS. Excuse us for letting this customer know what wasn't properly done at his house. No need to refer to anyone as "monkeys" or "experts," we are doing our jobs to make a living. If our opinion or comments are meaningless to you, keep the negativeness...

did not start training yet what should i expect

Can you elaborate a little more. Starting training doing what? If you're training as a tech in the field, go to the installer zone and read previous threads. That will give you an idea of what to expect. Good luck.

Why do I need a technician?

I would call back and talk sense into whomever you get on the phone. It's a simple swap out.

    Adding New Receiver

The tech that would come out would switch you over to Dish Pro Plus. Depending on your current setup, they might put up a different mount ( depending on LOS) and run new lines off the dish. The two existing lines running to the receivers can be used as long as the cable is rated properly. RG6 is...

Do installers go on the roof in the winter?

I will not go on a roof with any amount of snow or ice. I also won't go on a roof if there is a decent amount of rainfall. Both of which are company policies. Like a previous post mentioned, common sense, would you risk your life to install someones television, knowing if you slipped the company...

    622 died and can't upgrade

Or just call a tech out and pay the $15 ( if you have the warranty). Most offices only carry the 722k models.

Does the Price Increase Apply to New Customers on a Promotional Rate?

The increase went into effect on 2/1/11. I did an install for a customer today who called on 1/31/11 and was quoted a price. She wanted to downgrade and get a 222 rather than a 722. A CSR advised her of the new monthly rate, which was $5 higher than originally quoted. Long story short, you're...

222 non-k rcvrs evidently are also not dead

My office goes back and forth. We had 622s last month. Now we are back to 722k. We even have 311's!

    DIsh Problem in Wisc

Don't think so. You're probably out of the spot beam coverage area. Is it giving you an error message or the channels just don't appear in the EPG?

    VIP 722 2nd tuner issue

Could be a low frequency barrel. I've noticed a lot in the field recently where only tv2 is affected. Diplexor (if applicable) is probably the cheap kind.
