    USB Jtag help please

Thanks Guys for all your support and input. As for keeping this project public, it is not my intention to hide anything. But a small group of programmers who stay up to date on the progress of the work being done reduces the time needed to keep the team on track. I'm sure you understand...

    USB Jtag help please

Hi Merkin, All good questions. But you know that. As to what I am up to, well sometimes I have to ask my wife. She will surely tell me. For me it is important to explore all possibilities. Why, because there are a lot of people out there who want the same thing you and I want. Good maps...

    USB Jtag help please

I'm not sure what to think about you greg47. You took what I said out of context and turned it into something scary. Well, OK! What I said and meant was that since we were not breaking protected rights here, we were not concerned. If your motives are representative of more than just someone...

    USB Jtag help please

Hi merkin, Let me bring you up to date a little bit. I now have a team of more than seven qualified programmers. None of us are concerned with violating anyone's rights regarding this work. There are good and bad hackers in this world. I'm sure you know what I mean. We are good hackers and...

    USB Jtag help please

I wish we could get back on subject now that our detour has returned us to the good path. Someone said that this subject has been covered before on this forum. I did a search for "USBBDM NT" and didn't find any information. Could someone share any links to those threads? I just hate finding...

    USB Jtag help please

Well put Tvropro! All I want out of this is what was promised thru this receiver when I bought it. Nothing more and nothing less. Just what was promised! Stoker

    USB Jtag help please

This is for Greg47 and also anyone else who is concerned about this thread. Everyone knows that Motorola stopped supporting the 4Dtv receivers. They sold the rights to SLR and Programing Services, and they now offer a means to continue to receive subscription programing. The real problem with...

    USB Jtag help please

I wanted to give everyone a chance to see the new cable I am checking out. This cable should work for everyone who wants to connect to and read/write to the Motorola receivers. Not set in concrete yet, but looking good at this point. The price is $60.00 and the software is down loadable from...

Hi AZcoder, It's funny that you pointed out this cable as I posted the same question at SBHacker forums yesterday, and no one responded. I sent you an email this morning. Thanks, Stoker

    USB Jtag help please

Hello everyone, I need help finding a cable that can read/write to the mother board of a Motorola 4dtv DSR905, 920, or 922 satellite receiver. The board has a ten pin male connector permanently fixed on board which was used by moto at the factory for all the software needs for this receiver...

It's Time To Help Those Who Are Helping Us!

I would like to thank everyone who read these posts and a special thanks to those of you who took the time to find the information and then posted it. I believe that Tvropro is correct that sometime in the future, and I hope not to long, a way will be found to restore our maps to pre 1/4/11...

Problem with 4d (or maybe just trees?)

I read your post and would like to know where you live. That might or might not be important, but would help to know. Also, while I don't want to disagree with other posters, the simplest answers are generally correct. Previous poster has made some good points, but I doubt in your case they...

It's Time To Help Those Who Are Helping Us!

This is great information and everyone who owns a 922, 920 or 905 really owe all of you a pat on the back. There is nothing scientific about the info supplied here, but it does seem that the older receivers had less trouble and higher channel counts. That should make sense, after all, as...

    What's left after Factory Reset!

Then I'm guessing that you would have to do a options 67780 to clear emm or not? I don't think my receiver takes it's maps from 4096 or what ever is up and working, am I wrong?

    What's left after Factory Reset!

Hi Kb Cool, As far as I know, once you have EMM provider 4160, all maps are only available at X4 (which is the old W5 location). I don't see the old stream 4096 anywhere now that I have converted. Hope this helps. Thanks, Stoker

    What's left after Factory Reset!

Lonewolf, Just read the other thread and our current set up is different. Your 4096 and I'm 4160 plus You have 4783 channels and I have 897. That's the difference. Could be other things too. Thanks, Stoker

    What's left after Factory Reset!

Hello Eurospot84, I too wish there were more satellites, but with the ones I have to choose from and programming only 15 of the 26 tiles available, I have over 150 channels to choose from when using Azbox or Viewsat 2000 with the 4dtv 922. I also have spare 922s now that will not ever be...

    What's left after Factory Reset!

Hi Lonewolf454, After Reset, found 4160 EMM . Not sure why you might have T4 600-613 other than maybe keys that will disappear in near future. W1 same thing only I do have channel 23 ITC. I didn't list any of the lower C-band channels and there are more than I expected. I assume that you...
