Was it to woo DISH subscribers, or was it a way to stick it to DISH? I think if they wanted to woo DISH subs, they would have offered it for free on Amazon & iTunes opposed to streaming it on their website.

I am with you 100%. The Funky DISH Lovin' is way too weird. DISH could shut down for 6 months and some would happily continue to pay their bill. DISH has been providing lackluster performance the last 3-4 years. Charlie has the attention span of a 3-year-old that runs from toy to toy, never...

A net loss of 10,000 means they lost 10,000 more subs than they gained. If there were 665,000 gross new subscribers, then they must have lost a total of 675,000 subs. Does not suggest all were from the loss of AMC -- could just be they lost 10,000 over that debacle. Won't know that until August 7th.

You are taking it to literally. Don't count all the channels. Religious and shopping channels aren't value channels. I have never seen anyone here asking for, or complaining about the loss of a religious channel.

It was offered to us yesterday, along with $10 credit/month for 6 months and I didn't ask for it. Seems like they are trying to weasel out of it now.

What is your point? They still have a deal, where as we DISH customers are groveling for credits, freebies and giveaways. In the end, many of us still have 3 less channels than we did 24 hours ago, [4 if you count Sundance] and if we are going to watch the shows we are missing, an additional $20...

A credit is spending. However, since not everyone is getting the same deal, it looks as though they have figured out how to make subs happy and not have to spend a whole lot, or at least more than what the AMC contract cost them per sub/month. They probably even come out ahead if you factor in...
