I agree with Claude. Go to menu<setup<system setup<whole home<status to see what it tells you there.
Are the "non working" receivers on a different splitter? Might want to check to make sure the caps/terminators are on any unused ports.
Yes you will need the Internet kit. Get a broadband deca unit or the receiver deca with it's power supply
Depending in where you are located u could give you one
I would run atleast 2 rg6 to each room, for future furniture moving or tv relocation. Run 2 to the home computer just incase one day you use cable modem and Directv BB deca. Also would run phone line to each rg6 also. Would be nice to utilize caller id on each receiver. See if you can run...
International is still on 95 and a whole different dish, which is horrible. Supposedly they are working on a new lnb for the slimline to pickup the 95 so you can have international with just one dish. Spanish is not considered international. Korean, and south African are the only kind I have...
We are still using 21, 23 and 24. We got a pallet of 25 in Thursday but they are all gone now. And 25 still can plug into component. They should come with (or are available) mini-din 10 pin - component/composite cables.
Depends on how the tech gets routed. Get your appointment scheduled and call Directv and get your activity number and give it to the tech. He then can tell his dispatch to route him to that job. I do it all the time.
We got a guy that putts around in his focus two hatch back. Our upper level Mastec guys don't really like it but he is a good worker. He has a 20' folding ladder inside it. Everything for his daily work fits "perfectly" in his car. No more room in the front seat.
Make sure your sat setup is correct, reset box, see if you can force a software download ( reset box, at "hello" screen type 02468). We were having problems with the h24-100s doing the same thing. Getting signal at the line but box not receiving a thing.
From a few past experiences I've had with movers in your situation is Directv will cancel your contract no fees needed. As long as you can get the documentation from the office stating specific dish mounting rules and have your installer note it can not be done to those rules you should be fine.
Sorry, forgot some
10-14 hour days are not uncommon. But like I said, I like to work. Not many really do.
And the overseas job was a company called Proactiv communications (90% sure that's the name). Customer I installed works the and told me about them hiring. I have no networking...
I worked for a "bad" one and new it's competitors. When the "bad" one lost their contract I walked on at my current "good" one. Its a smaller local place.
I said 2500, that's during the good times, march - oct. Nov - Jan it's about half that.
Learn the job, learn to do it the...
Like mentioned before, there are more bad than good companies it seems. I believe I have found a good one now and I gross 2500ish every two weeks. But I love to work and do work plenty. This is one of my favorite jobs, but I won't do this forever. Definitely need an exit strategy in place...
Your signal can actually show better after new software than before. Happened with an install I had Tuesday. Signal wouldn't pass IV before, but after software download it did. Lol
Not sure when will have them but they are smaller, not touch screen, no "component" output (has a mini10), different power setup, can use rf remote, built in deca still, and can only be swm setup.
Correct. You can run 3 straight from lnb to boxes. No switch needed. I did that just yesterday, 3 boxes also.
Still prefer a swm anyway to doing it that way though.
Do you have the newest software download? We were having some problems with h24s, I know yours is an hr24, and signals either not showing on the receiver and/or not being able to activate completely with a signal.
