    Hurricane Sandy

This Hurricane is huge!!! Even thought we're about 1000 SE of it (Puerto Rico), the last two days we had large amounts of rain from a cloud streamer originating from Sandy.

    GEOSATpro Micro HD and SG9120B

Hi, I order by error from Sadoun a DG380 when what I needed was a DG380B (my fault...). Unit was ordered on 9/27, shipped on 9/28 via USPS and still have not received it. On 10/1 I ordered the 42mm tube from Sadoun and on 10/12 I received a call advising that the tube is in backorder for at...

Buying a 90cm sat dish - The Odyssey

Hi Turbosat, Metal dish. The base is a little bit flimsy and I'm having issues with USALS since the pole tends to bend depending on where the dish leans to. I can get a very sturdy new metal stand for less than $15.00.

Weird TP numbers during Openbox S10 blind scanning

Solved! Just did a factory reset and rescanned sats. It seems that using the Amiko 8240 editor on the Openbox S10 corrupts the user database.

Buying a 90cm sat dish - The Odyssey

Update: After sending e-mails to a few sat dealers and making a dozen local calls I found a sat dealer right next to my office building!!! No fancy advertisements and the guy carries lots of well know brands. Visited him today and got my new 90cm (36x41in) dish for $37.00 USD after taxes!!! :)...

Buying a 90cm sat dish - The Odyssey

Hi Anole, 1. Will PM Brian. 2. Almost had a heart attack when quoted shipping cost from Sadoun's online store! 3. No email response received either from WSI or Galaxy Marketing. 4. My dish is a 1m, too heavy for the SG 2100 even though is advertised as being able to manage a 1.2m dish. Regards,

Buying a 90cm sat dish - The Odyssey

Hi Stevemo, Locally I have not seen any 90cm/36in dishes around. Local satellite deales mostly carry DirecTV and DN stuff and very few, if none FTA gear. The reason I'm looking for one is that my 100x110cm dish is too heavy for my SG2100 motor and won't move it back to zero once I'm past...

Buying a 90cm sat dish - The Odyssey

Hi, For the last 3 weeks I've been trying to buy a 90cm Ku dish from one of the many online satellite dish stores without any luck (will not mention vendors). Issues are either availability, shipping rates to Puerto Rico or that they won't ship it at all, and last but not least, promise a...

    Standard LNB/Universal LNB/SG2100

Hi, Is it possible to have a setup comprising a fixed dish with a standard fss lnb and a motorized dish with a universal lnb, both accesed and controlled by a single receiver???

    Hispasat 30W (again...)

YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!! Got home early and following recommendations I finally was able to lock on!!!!! The issue was that my dish's angle bracket has three different elevation scales and I was using the wrong one!!! After adjusting it to the proper one I was able to get my sat finder to lock...

    Hispasat 30W (again...)

Hi Carlos!!!!! Thanks (Gracias!!!) for you feedback!!!! I suspected I was off target, but swinging the dish E-SE and SE-E and elevation both ways only peaked on this unknown sat. I'm sure it's pointed 126 degrees since I used a magnetic compass and a iPhone to be sure. Will check again next...

    Hispasat 30W (again...)

Hi, Have spent two days trying to align my 100x110 dish to Hispasat at 30W. My position is 18.35N / 65.98W in the Caribbean. With my Orbital Tracker OTM500 3.0 sat finder (exactly the same model as a FS-1 First Strike) I was able to get in tp 12051 H 27500 with my 10750 LO LNB (Viking VS-FT67)...

40x44 Dish mounting bracket angle scale

Thanks for the info Fat Air!! Regarding the Dish brand, I don't know. I will post pics during the weekend since it is installed on a 2nd floor roof. LNB is a Viking VS-FT67 (FSS???) with an L.O. of 10750. I did set the LNB frequency during setup but it seems that there is more information to...

40x44 Dish mounting bracket angle scale

Hi, I'm a newbie in the hobbie and after procrastinating for more than a year I finally installed my first FTA setup, a 40x44 dish/SG2100/Openbox S10 HD PVR receiver (yes, I bought new a year ago!!!). :) Took me most of Saturday to get it up to to a powered-up state but I still cannot get a...

    Help 722k Wont Connect Online

Count me in on this one. Got my 722K back in November as new customer but most of the time is offline even though system settings show its online. Shame the 612 does not support the Sling adapter since it has never show this problem at all. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Openbox S9 S10 HD

Thanks for the info. IIRC the site from were I bought it speced it for up to 1.2m dishes, up to a weight of about 31 pounds. Anyway, my neighbor is dumping two 36in dishes which I may use for my DIY project. I may aim the 47in to the Hispasat or Amazonas sats and leave it on a fixed position...
