New Recordings showing "100% watched" after latest update?

Since the latest SW upgrade, some new recordings are showing up in DVR listing as 100% watched, even though it was just recorded and I have not watched them. This is happening to my brother-in-law's Hopper as well. Mine seems intermittent, meaning that if I record several shows in a series, a...

    The best day ever!

I detailed in another posting how my brother-in-law and father-in-law upgraded from two 612 DVRs to two Hoppers. Well over the weekend, we visited them, and when we asked my father-in-law how he likes his new Hopper, he said it was great! He went on about how easy it is to use, how the colored...

Probably going to upgrade to Hopper/Joey. I have some questions / concerns.

One some may not realize about a two-Hopper setup is that they are "connected" in that if they are on the same internal LAN (which they will most likely be) they can see each other, so you can view recordings on either. My brother-in-law and father-in-law have two Hoppers, one upstairs and one...

Other than the iPad, what is the best tablet for Dish Anywhere?

While my setup is not typical, I have zero issues with the Dish Anywhere app. I have a Nexus 7 which is rooted with the "Vanilla Rootbox" ROM installed. It's Android 4.2, so maybe that is a clue. I have not yet tried it on my wife's Nexus 7 running stock 4.3. The Dish Anywhere app also works...

    The dreaded 82%

Here is DIRT's response:"Thank you for your PM!! I have heard other reports of the 82% issue, but am not sure exactly what is causing it. I will forward your feedback of what worked for you, so that we can look into making that the process for the issue until it is resolved. I have also notated...

    The dreaded 82%

I contacted a DIRT member, and she provided some excellent help with this issue. Hopefully, another attempt at an install today will be successful. I'll post a followup when I get any details.

    The dreaded 82%

Another poster here commented about his Hopper installation experiences, and it involved his box hanging at 82% during the software download. When I had my Hopper installed, it repeatedly hung up at 82% during the software download, and it took several attempts with a second box and a replaced...

Billing question about upgrading to the Hopper from other DISH DVRs

I did just that (thanks "Ray C@DISH Network"!) and he confirmed that the equipment cost for 2 Hoppers is $24. So my in-laws should only incur an additional $7 over what they are now paying to upgrade from 2 612's to 2 Hoppers with no Joeys. Time to make another call....

That's what I thought. We'll have to call them back.

Billing question about upgrading to the Hopper from other DISH DVRs

OK, so my wife and I upgraded to a Hopper, and all is well. We showed it to my in-laws, and they decided that they want to upgrade. Problem is, DISH is telling them that it will cost them $31 MORE than their current bill to upgrade. This doesn't seem to make sense. Here's the scenario.... They...

So far, so good--my install experience.

I want to say 61.5 and 77, but I'll check when I get home.

So far, so good--my install experience.

My install was scheduled today, and the installers (two guys) showed up and installed the Hopper. Everything went smoothly until the software download where it hung at 82%. Hmm. 82%. That sounds familiar. Where did I see that before? Ah yes--it seems that @jeepers94 had a similar issue that I...

Is the 722 remote compatible with the Hopper?

Worked like a charm! Simply required entering the code into the remote. Thanks!

Is the 722 remote compatible with the Hopper?

So how do you set a 21.0 remote to work with the Hopper? I set the switch under the battery cover to "IR" but it doesn't control any DVR or Hopper functions. Suggestions? Is there something I need to do in the Hopper settings to "enable" a second remote as an IR remote?

    Frustrated with advertising

We have a 722K DVR and a second 2TV SD receiver for which we pay $21.00: SD/SD (2TV) Receiver $14.00 DVR Service $7.00 The CSR said that our new setup would replace the above with a Hopper and Joey, and would cost $19.00: DVR Service $12.00 Joey $7.00 So...

    Frustrated with advertising

I would normally agree with that, except that I read the ad as providing more than one offer: Free iPad when signing up Free Hopper Upgrade Different package discount choices I concede that I could be misinterpreting it. I guess in the end, it boils down to this: If you are an existing...

    Frustrated with advertising

My wife saw an ad for an "Upgrade to the Hopper" this weekend, so we got excited and called to make the upgrade. The only relevant fineprint on the ad was "*Available with qualifying packages" We have the "America's Top 250" package, and the ad states that the package is $44.99 per month for...

    USB External Drive question

Sorry for another newbie question.... I have a number of recordings on my current 722 DVR. My new Hopper is scheduled to be in stalled in a couple days. If I save my 722 recordings to an external USB hard drive, can I later connect that hard drive to the Hopper and either restore or watch the...

Is the 722 remote compatible with the Hopper?

Hopper newbie here.... ?My wife and I just ordered the Hopper/Joey upgrade over the weekend, and it is scheduled to install on Wednesday. Coming from a 722 receiver, this looks like a fine upgrade. I purchased an extra remote for the 722 since my wife and I each like having a remote in the...
