    Azimuth setting on BUD

Thanks! Years ago I would do this by sight, like finding the "zenith " satellite and focused on it for best possible signal strength then go from there. It was hard and time consuming. My thinking is since all the other settings of the dish is already set, all I can do is to set the azimuth and...

    Azimuth setting on BUD

I decided to move my 8 foot dish to another location. I did that yesterday. It has been at least 10 years since I set the settings on the dish. I'm keeping the original settings like it is. I want to set the azimuth using the compass app in my iPhone SE. When I reached the true north, the...

    AZBox Ultra question

Hey guys! I'm in the process of getting back into C-band and Ku-band fta. It has been awhile since I've been in fta. I believe it's been 5 years. I have a AZBox Ultra receiver. I have been reading about the latest things such as DVB-S2 and other signals. I guess my AZBox would be obsolete as...

    Dish decisions

Thank you, Rima. It has been a great dish. The reason I posted this is because I have to move the fiberglass dish to the other side of my property. I already have the 7 1/2 dish in the spot where I want to move it to. All I have to is move the dish off the pole and replace it with the fiberglass...

    Dish decisions

Hi guys, I am at the crossroads on deciding what dish to use for both C-Band and Ku-Band signals. I have a 8 foot fiberglass dish I bought back in 1986 that served me well. And I have a 7 1/2 foot dish and a 10 foot dish, both not fiberglass. Right now the 7 1/2 dish is already set up but I...

    Any Outernet Updates? Lantern?

The website now stating it would be October for shipments. This is concerning those who made orders back in November, 2014. I'm getting kinda pissed about this.

    Data Usage

I bought the Roku TV stick and the Amazon Fire TV stick. Both are working excellent! [emoji3] I'm using a netgear WIFI. My internet is from the Wildblue satellite. What I am concerned about is the data usage. Whenever I reached the data limit the Internet would slow down until the next month...

    Birddog USB Plus

Great! Thank you, jmc! I think I'll enjoy using this meter. I downloaded the manual and other info on this. For $135 I hope it work. Seller said it was used 10 times and there were no defects. Just no cords. I got both of them.

Jmc, is there a list of satellites that need to be loaded to the meter? I'm still reading up on it.

    Birddog USB Plus

How well does the Birddog USB Plus (v.4) work with searching for the satellites? I ordered a used one on EBAY that is working great but had no cords (programming and AC). I paid $135 for it.

    Network pains from AZBox Ultra

Well, finally found the solution! On the setup (for the Internet) for the Ultra, I kept clicking the wifi button. Kept giving me problems when I tried to connect. Tonight I clicked on the wired button and clicked on Connect. Boom, it connected!

    Network pains from AZBox Ultra

It may be settings on the Netgear adapter or one of the routers. I'm wondering if I need to change "repeater" to "repeater bridge" on my Linksys WRT54G router. What's the difference?
