Well if this is true I will dropping DirecTv. Hate to do it because I love the equipment but I hate going out to watch the Cats play.

I had this issue a while ago. It turned out to be the barrels where the RG6 came into the room were the wrong type and would actually over heat causing the signal to go away. Not sure if that is your problem but worth checking out.

Done that several times, even if you forget they will prorate your account for the month.

When I upgraded last month the tech that came and did my install told me that DirecTv gives you one month for free, if you don't want it that you have to go and remove it from your account. Its an automatic add. But at least my installer told me about it.

Yeah...switching is not really an option for me. Aside from not picking up the Pac 12 network I really like the service I get from DirecTv. This is more irritating than anything else. Guess I will have to find a bar that has cable or Dish to watch the games that aren't on CBS, ESPN or FSAZ.

I understand why the PAC 12 network came into existance...its all about the money for the conference and their schools. It's just a pain to know that I will not be able to watch all of the games that for my team like I used to.

Looks like I'll be listening to a bunch of Basketball on the radio this season. Irritating.

Right now DirecTv not haveing the network for me is just an irritant...when basketball season begins, it will become a large problem. Hopefully there will be a resolution by then.

I have purchased several mounts from Monoprice.com they have a large selection of mounts on their site. On the linked page there are several articulating mounts and "DVD" racks that should hold an HR24 quite well.

I would get that changed out. I have 2 HR24s and neither one makes any noise. Although to compare I switched from Dish and a ViP622 and 722 which were both exceptionally noisy all the time.

Interesting....I just saw an ad on the local FOX station saying that they may also be pulled on the 1st. Not sure if this fear mongering from from FOX via the loca stations or what. I thought the locals were not going to be effected. Its the Tucson local KMSB.

Its the wireless one. Seems the box is getting hot also. Not sure if this is normal either. I will give the assigning static IP when I get home.

I installed the Directv Cinema Connection Kit (DCCK) Saturday and now I am loosing the connection to the DVR in the other room while I am trying to watch a program that was recorded. It has has happened while watcing several different shows. The screen just freezes and then I get an error...

BBC HD is really the only channel that I miss since switching from Dish. Also TruHD would be nice before the NCAA basketball tourney starts.

When I first signed up with Directv I had a ton of drop outs especially on certian channels. I am afraid to say that my dropouts have for the most part gone away for fear that the HT gods will bring them back for taunting them. But I have not noticed any dropouts in the last couple of weeks.

Orignally when I signed up I wanted to have MRV for the entire house. I was unaware that I needed HD boxes in all the rooms to have MRV in there. I will give Directv a call and see what they say. Thanks for all the inputs. I believe its been 3 months+ since I made the switch from Dish.

I am a recent subscriber, I have four TVs that are hooked up. 2 of them on HR24s and the other 2 are just SD boxes. I have the MRV option and we are getting HDTVs for the other rooms this year for Christmas. Do I have to go through Directv to upgrade the 2 SD receivers? Or can I purchase them...

Yeah I ordered through a dealer. They did say that the $50 was to end today. Regardless I think I got a good deal because I expected to have to pay $100 for the second DVR.

I just signed up today and got the second DVR for $50.

I suppose it just depends on where you live. Here I called a local company today and they are coming to do the install in the AM.
