Saw it asked many pages back about if TurboHD subs with multisport recieved the Redzone channel in HD. I can verify that as a TurboHD Silver sub w/ multisport package I did get the Redzone and it was great!

Well I've added the multisports package and now I'm seeing NFLRedZone 155sd, 155HD and the HD channel in the 9*** range all in blue on the guide. This is with TurboHD Silver as my base package. I hope it sticks.

Well, I'd be happy to add multisport just to see for sure. Currently with TurboHD Silver, w/o multisport, I see 155sd but not hd and of course I don't see the 9??? HD channel either. Will post if anything changes when I add multisport.

Just was on a chat on the Dish website. The Dish rep verified that I could not get the Redzone channel by just adding the Multi-Sports package to my TurboHD Silver package. Too bad but that is what I expected to hear.

The directions above work, however I didn't have the option to do this until after my 9 months of getting it free where done. Up until this point the option to unclick it was not available.

Do you have to have another 722 receiver? There are other HD receivers that would work (612, 211k ,222...) Another 722 seems like overkill unless you need another SD feed.

You aren't getting screwed, Absolute subs were told they weren't getting anything new after the first of the year (1/1/09). Absolute subs should be happy as larks that they are actually getting some new channels! TurboHD subs = DISH's whipping boy

As much as I enjoy getting new channels as a Turbo Silver sub, it is real disappointing that they are treating the Turbo packages as second rate. The turbo packs are what have the potential to set E* apart from everybody else but won't if they continue to treat them this way.

Did I read that the Absolute subscribers are getting the same thing as the Turbo subscribers? Can it really be that they can't figure out how to give channels to Turbo subs without giving it to Absolute subs or am I missing something?

Not positive on this but I don't think the Eau Claire/La Crosse locals are on EA so not sure that would be a good option. However, if you live far enough west of Eau Claire and are in the Minneapolis DMA, then EA dish would be a possiblity as the Minneapolis locals are on both arcs.

This makes a lot of sense to me but they have had a ton of time to get this figured out. Maybe they were able to add BET-J HD because it went in the Platinum package and I believe the HD Absolute people can see this channel too, right?

However, provided that the new channels are put in the Turbo packages, these will be new channels for these people. Also, these additions might allow more people to reduce their bill and change to an HD only package. I just don't see why Dish doesn't make some sort of statement....:confused:
