    ANYONE ELSE HAVE THE GRACE INTERNET RADIO?

    The Logitech Squeezebox Boom is the best internet radio around, IMO. I have two of them and really like their sound and operation. They're perhaps a little more expensive than some but also have stereo sound and other features which many that I checked out don't.

    $20. might be a bit steep...but I've been saying the same thing for years also. There's all kinds of English language programming from many parts of the world to which we should have access. The more international programming the better, to help us get over our xenophobia. :)

    I was really sorry to hear this. Now more than ever we need the 24/7 BBC World News channel added to the Directv lineup. The BBC News channel is distributed by Discovery and couldn't be that difficult for them to add. Directv has been sadly lacking in world news coverage for quite a long time...

    Contacting Directv Via Email

    It's usually within 24-48 hours. However, what you get as a reply, in my experience, is usually what I call a "canned" response rather than a truly individual reply. They seem to rely heavily on certain preprogrammed sentences and wording. I personally find this rather irritating. :(

    CCTV-9 being dropped 8/25

    According to a scrolling message being run over CCTV-9 a few minutes before and after the hour, Directv will no longer be carrying that channel after 8/25/08. Although it's not one of the best of the genre, it's sad to see another source of international news being discarded by the Directv...

    I would like to see Directv add the Voom HD channels!

    If Directv has space to add Voom after they begin using the new satellite, why shouldn't they? The more HD the better, IMHO. There should be something for all interests. Personally, I consider all the HD sports coverage a gigantic waste of bandwidth. We all have our likes and dislikes.

    What local PBS in HD??? The only HD I have ever seen via the PBS stations here in NE Ohio, Cambridge OH and ,during good tropo conditions, from Pittsburgh PA, is the PBS-HD national feed. Maybe there's locally originated PBS HD in larger markets but I've never seen any here.
