February of 98 for me, bought my setup at Costco. A 4700 and 2700 receiver, about $300 IIRC. Installed them with the help of my teenage son, that was an experience, especially aligning the dish! Boy ain't that the truth! Dish should award us old timers all purple hearts for all the crap we put...

It doesn't matter to me who is the "problem". I subscribe to a service, if that service ceases to provide what I value then I'll switch to one that will. Dish has made a business decision and so will I.

I've been a Dish subscriber for almost 17 years but this is getting old really fast. I spoke to a CSR and she said they are getting hammered over this, way more than they expected. I still have access to FNC via my broadband provider but if this isn't resolved soon I'm done with Dish.

I agree. With the ending of BSG, Eureka and now Fringe there isn't one good Sci-Fi show left.

I watched it and IMHO this won't last long. The premise is beyond plausible, most Science Fiction requires some suspension of disbelief but this is ridiculous. The mystery of who, why and how isn't enough to sustain this mess.
