    5G US C-band launch

I think we have more to worry about when we have a transmitter pressed to our ear. An antenna across the street, or 5 miles away won't do nearly as much damage.

    OTHER discrepancy between lyngsat.com and ftalist.com ?

On some of the older receivers you had to keep one transponder in the list or your satellite list would be corupted (azbox for sure). That isn't always the case any more. A good strong active transponder will help locate the satellite, but once you have the dish aimed and peaked you should be...

Link: FCC, Wireless Industry Take Aim At C Band Satellite Spectrum for 5G

Charlie is a stubborn guy, but not a very consistent one. He wont follow the world when it comes to an ota broadcast standard, but he is willing to take bandwith away from American broadcasters to follow the rest of the world.

Titanium Satellite Titanium ASC 1 gone bad after 1 month in use

I have to agree. My ASC1 has been in service for over 5 years without issue. You can see by my avatar its pushing a very heavy dish.

Titanium Satellite Titanium ASC 1 gone bad after 1 month in use

A simple code is really not that simple. The code is actually a symptom of a problem. A thermostat code could be caused by a bad radiator cap. The auto parts store will read the code, print out a description, and give you a list of common causes along with part numbers that they can sell you...

    C Band Dish Registration

I have no issue with registering my dish. The only issue I have is the fee, $425.00 is a bit steep for hobby use.

Aligning Atlantic side of h-h dish

Taking this a step further, Try peaking the dish on each satellite east of your azimuth one at a time. after you make adjustments on the east side, go back to the west an equal distance from zenith and check your signal(quality). Once you are balanced on both sides, check your zenith again. If...

Aligning Atlantic side of h-h dish

I know I am a bit late joining this thread, but I think the problem here lies in the fact that the azimuth is set too far west and the elevation is too high.

    Recommendation for BUD Positioner

I have been using an ASC1 to move my 12ft paraclipse since the unit was released and it hasn't failed me yet (even with a dish full of snow). It is also powering two power hungry pll lnbs. It is well worth the extra money.

help in geeting big dish up and running in s.e mich

I agree with Hank 123. You should be able to it yourself. This forum is full of information, and people who want to help. Have you ever used this dish before? What type of receiver will you be using? Will you be viewing multiple satellites? A few pics of the dish may help too.

Kijiji, eBay, and Craigslist dishes for you to take a look at

I brought mine home on a 4X8 trailer while it was snowing. It was only a 20 mile trip, but in the Detroit metropolitan area traffic can get pretty ridiculous.

Initial Testing Of Norsat C-Band LNB 3420

That is an easy fix. Just reverse your switch settings. I haven't used an ortho feed, but it stands to reason that if one lnb is skewed straight up at true south (vert), the other will be horizontal. This may be a good solution for lnb power. I would use one for each lnb (considering the cost...

Initial Testing Of Norsat C-Band LNB 3420

Are you powering the lnbs with the manhattan? I use norsat plls on my BUD and they are power hungry (3420s are pll). I found that they work best with 20 volts DC. You may have better results using power inserters for each lnb. Add them after the switch because the current will toast a switch in...

    Got a bigger dish

hmmm. Prime focus means that if your lnb is not centered and focused precisely at the center of the dish you lose signal. Try that new titanium combo lnbf. You can be the first to review it.

Help me choose a new C Band LNB

As stated earlier, the Titanium C1 PLL is more stable than a norsat dro. Even with the extra cost of shipping the improvement is worth it.
