There is a flag that every Show carries that determines whether a customer can record it or not. That flag may not have been set to allow you to record. An other possibility is that the show that you attempted to record was a rerun and you specified that you wanted to record first-run show only.

I had the same hassle with the CSR I got. He argued fror like 5 minutes that I was not an HD subscriber. He even read my monthly bill and couldnot see the info that I had HD since day 1. E* needs to do a better job training their people. They also need to add the sport channelt o the mix.

The only common thread is the difficulty the 811 seems to have with showing all OTA channels correctly. If one were to watch only the satellite channels, one will no longer experience BSOD.. Franzius

I only use component out with my 811. Maybe that's the reason why I dont experience any 'dark' problem.
