Comcast digital channel maps for Northern NJ

My TV tuner is not identifying the non-encrypted digital local NYC stations included in my limited basic subscription. All I can find is the encrypted channels even though Comcast assures me that the local broadcast channels are not encrypted. If I knew the base channels I could input that...

Dumb question. Why is 61.5 called wings

Separation Is that larger separation between the wing satellite slots by design or just the way the spots got allocated? Would D*s configuration look similar?

Request to Dish: Create a replacement for the DP34 that supports Dish Pro Plus!!!

What is DPP I have a 322 and a 522 (both dual receivers) connected through a DP34 to two antennas. It is my understanding that if I want to add more receivers, I only need to gang another 34 to the present one. Is that correct?

    Follow-up grounding questions

Great Dish Service Today a Dish supervisor came to see what the problem was. He immediately agreed with my thoughts about grounding (most were based on the posts above) and proceeded do the work properly. He also examined the work that had been done earlier in the week and 15 months ago when...

    Follow-up grounding questions

Education in grounding Chadzx11, The air conditioner line is a Romex line from the panel to t he exterior wall where the air conditioner is located. The power line is #8 but I'm guessing the ground component is more like a #14. It seems to me that it makes more sense to run a #8 or #6 ground...

    Follow-up grounding questions

A Dish tech came today to ground the system that they did not ground when it was installed. I have the following questions: One set of lines enters the house at one end of the house and another set enters at the far end (for a 322 and a 522). The Dish tech said that only one set of lines...

    Grounding Block

I have been reading about proper grounding on this BB and as a result I took a look at my installation. Dish installed a Dish 500 a little over a year ago. There are two sets of cables, one directed to a 522 receiver and the other directed to a 322 receiver. The cables from the dish enter...

Two UHF antennas or one plus a rotor

Not a perfect world Thanks for all of the replies. They were helpful. Johninbrick may have settled my issue. I was hoping to get Fox in Philadelphia since I'm an Eagles fan. If I can't get fox I will just concentrate on NY. That takes me in a completely different direction. I subscribe...

Two UHF antennas or one plus a rotor

I live in NJ and am looking to receive some stations from both NYC and Philadelphia. The NYC stations are 24 miles at 90d and the Philadelphia stations are 61 miles at 237d. Is it possible or practicable to put two UHF antennas on one mast, one for each set of stations, or must I just use one...

Anybody have access to 129 in NJ

To get most HD programming it appears you need a signal from either 61.5 or 129. Dish says that central NJ, where I am located, is outside the footprint of 129 so I need to receive 61.5. This is not possible because large trees block the 61.5 signal. Technical Support says that NJ is outside...
