Unless your still under contract. If you are under contract you'll have to do DishMover and still pay for the service even if you can't use it. That's what I'm doing....reduced my package to the minimum package until I'm ready to move into the new place. All my equipment is in storage until then.

I wouldn't think there would be a need to protect it if u can't record live TV. If there is not enough space on your archive it seems it would just not let you move it rather than writing over it. Just my humble opinion.

I've had E* and Comcast. IMHO Comcast looks better. There are a couple different factors tho. With Comcast I am watching a 32" 720p LCD... With Dish I was watching a 52" 1080i Projection screen. They both are beautiful but Comcast looks better at this point. Dish's equipment is 100X better...
