Thank you for your comments, I too found that a quick press of the Guide button would snap it out of the error mode and back to normal but this was happening so much that you had to keep your hand on the remote to watch anything and to me that is unacceptable. The Tech left yesterday scratching...

I do have the OTA tuner, but have not watched our locals OTA since ours went HD. The problem does not seem to be OTA but on recorded and satellite channels.

KAB, that was what I was trying to get across to them, that the DIU was $75 shipped, I told him that was what it read on their web site. But he would not back off the $125. It makes no sense for them to have this on their web site in black and white and they won't let you have it for that price.
