Just got a Hughes DVR (35 hour) last week, recorded Kill Bill the other night, and in 4 or 5 spots throughout the movie, the screen would go blank (Black) then some white lines would run across the screen, and the movie would pick back up for 15 seconds, and do it again, then not do it for 20-30...

Would pointing the antenna towards the sky rather than being level help? I've done all the twisting adjustments I could ever make, but pointing it up and down I have not tried.

How does one go about finding out what the "Bounce" is?

I think I have to call it quits. I'm REALLY bummed about this. My installer came back with a 190 mile antenna for my locals that are 50 miles NNE of me. One of the channels I had, I have no more, and I now get another channel (for a total of 1 OTA channel.) Why on earth would a 190 mile...

I am using a diplexer as installed by a really good installer. He knew his stuff, knew this board. I can possibly raise it another 5 feet or so to the peek of my roof (only bad part of installation, installed OTA antenna on the side of the house.)

My initial install went pretty well some time ago, just couldn't pull in the locals (50 miles out.) Call Voom, they send someone over, who turns the antenna (Sensar II) and says that is all they can do for now. Call Voom to get another upgrade. I do so, get a call that they can't do anything...

Somehow, Dishnetwork manages this just fine. They sent me some empty boxes the other week to send back their units I had leased. Pretty simple, if they didn't get them back, I was charged for them. Seems like Voom could do the same thing. Send a new box, if the other isn't returned, charge...

I also noticed the audio problem (lips move, then voice.) Don't know if this was on the direct feed from TNT or my feed from Voom. Audio only cut once, but everything else was fine...that is except the commercial variety. Come on, two our show, get some different commercials. I don't care if...

I had the same problem last night under starry skies. 96 signal, was watching StarzHD, audio would keep going out about every 15-20 seconds, and the picture would studder. Movie was unwatchable, had to change to an SD channel with no problems.

More appropriately, it is like that Tom Hanks movie, "The Money Pit." The contractor kept telling them, the house would be done in 2 weeks.

Steve is the man. Anyone in the Indy area (60 mile radius or so) should try to request this man. Got a 94 signal on a cloudy day (cloudy enough to spit rain here and there.) Only thing he couldn't do was get my OTA's up and running, and that is due to being 50 miles from the towers. Poor...

I get sales tax on my E* bill, had it on my cable bill prior to E*, and expect to have it on V*. If the state requires it, by law, they have to. Maybe I'm not following you here...

Its your money, you can spend it on anything you want. I was scheduled for an install on 5/26 and had it pushed to 6/22. No big deal, I am not soooo addicted to tv that I can't wait a week or two, or even a month to get new service. All the ranting and raving makes it seem like people live...

I just rescheduled by calling Installs, Inc. direct. Hopefully I will be a go on June 22nd (almost a month after original install date!) Lady I talked to (very nice) said they were just slammed with installs and it is all a mess. I guess that is both good and bad.

Finally called Installs, Inc. direct, and have a new install date of 6/22, but not with Magic Satellite, but with one of "their" installers. Only gave me the guys name, not company name or phone number.

To an extent, yes, but I live 50 miles from the towers, and I guarantee that I will be given a Stealth antenna. It is plain as day that this will not work at my site, nor anyone's in my city of 85,000 people.
