    Redoing Roof what to do?

I had my roof done a couple of years ago. Each roofer I spoke to said he would remove then reinstall the dish. I would try another roofer. Btw, they can't align it back perfectly. I made the mistake of telling directv I had the roof replaced. Had I said nothing they would have realigned for...

    Getting close to baseball season

I did this a short time ago....said 'cancel extra innings' and then a real quick transfer to a CSR. I said I'd like to get it taken off for now (you're stuck with the subscription once the season starts....everyone gets a free preview except subs ). Then I got offered $10 off the $31.99 X...

    Direct DVR vs Dish

To me that's a con because you're paying for old technology. I don't watch SD anymore unless I'm forced to....the TV2 option is coaxial SD....unless something has changed since I left Dish.

    SatelliteGuys First Look: DIRECTV Scoreguide

First noticed this on Versus last nite watching NHL playoffs then the Fox Sports affiliate watching a Tigers game. I didn't notice any lagging but thanks for the heads up....I'll need to check.

Are there ANY former E* users that have switched to D*?

If you are a sports fan, then there is a clear difference between the two services and equipment should never trump programming material. Unless....that dual SD tuner means that much to you. For me, I have had two HDTVs for a few years now and hated the TV2 SD tuner when I was with Dish. Not to...

    MLB TV

Yup. I think this is the third season Dish hasn't had EI. I would think just about anyone that had a problem with that has moved by now and new subs know in advance (or should know) that they won't be getting EI/MLB channel. I was one of those that had a problem with that and was a Dish sub...

DirecTV does not support multi room DVR functionality DISH does

I was with Dish not too long ago and while my 622 could feed a second TV (referred in their venacular as TV2) it was SD and rather poor quality. Didn't care for it at all.

    Check your HD DVR's ToDo list--Forced Software Upgrade to 02CB & 02B0

That's interesting because the message I got on my screen after the update mentioned that specifically. I'm not surprised I didn't notice that before but why did I get that message? Perhaps it was a reminder it was there.

    Sirius/XM sound quality?

Last summer I tried an aftermarket FM modulator and the sound was so bad I had Best Buy rip it out for a refund. A few months ago I bought a new car with XM preinstalled so there is none of that wireless FM modulation crap.....sound is considerably better and I'm now a subscriber. SQ varies...

MLB Network has been showing the Don Larsen world series perfect game in it's entirety (except the first inning which is gone)....along with the original commericals. Never been done before. And, Larsen and Yogi are there to tell their story of that day. I like baseball but I'm not a...

    MLB Network

IMO, whether or not Dish renews EI 5 years from now is almost secondary to their problem of dropping sports packages that DirecTV consistently offers. Means nothing to alot of people but for many, they want the option of EI, Center Ice, Sunday Ticket, etc. to always be available. IIRC, Dish went...

    MLB Network

I wonder how likely it would be that Dish could swing a deal for just the MLB Network when all the other carriers had to agree to both MLB Network and EI. And now all the other carriers are part owners of the MLB Network. I'd say very unlikely, except, maybe at a premium price.

Verizon FIOS just added the MLB Network a month ago but they also added EI at the same time. So it appears the EI and the MLB Network are still tied together.
