    HopperGo impressions

The latest DishAnywhere Player for Windows added support for the HopperGo.

I spoke too soon. While the Dishanywhere App works with REMIX OS, it doesn't allow transfers or connect to the Hoppergo. Neither option shows up when you are connected to the same home network or to the HopperGo.

The latest version of the REMIX OS (Android X86) boots my HP Elite X2 1012 Tablet and actually works with the Android DishAnywhere App. Anybody with a Windows 10 based Tablet (or Laptop) should give it a try. Setting up dual boot is not that difficult.

Current version of DishAnywhere App does not work with either DuOS or BlueStacks.

Yes, but Windows tablets are not.

My most significant disappointment with the HopperGo is that it will only work with the DishAnywhere App and not with the browser based DishAnywhere site. That leaves it unusable with the many people who have Windows based tablets. It is time for Dish to create an App for the Windows based...

Dish Anywhere Transfers with Sony Tablet Android 4.3

Dish Anywhere Transfers are not working on a Sony Xperia Z Tablet running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean but do work on an Older Motorola Xoom running 4.1.2. The files will transfer to the Sony Tablet but will not play at all. The screen just stays blank no matter the setting. All other Dish Anywhere...

Is there a maximum number of tuners on Twin LNB

It supports a maximum of 2 receivers, each of which may have 2 tuners. What you are trying to do does not work since you are hooking up 3 receivers. You need a switch or a DPP Triple LNB on a 1000.2 or 1000.4 dish.

    Pocketdish+722 Not Working

Query whether you are on the Eastern Arc. If you are, even the SD channels will be MPEG4 which will not work with pocketdish.

Anyone else promised a "free" upgrade?

All I can tell you as that we have been told by our DISH rep repeatedly, that the rebate will be available to lease or own customers and that we should encourage our customers to wait until April 1.

    DVR Install Question...

A DPP Twin LNB supports up to two 2 tuner receivers, so a switch will not be necessary unless more than two receivers are desired. However, a DPP Twin supports up to three satellite locations with the third satellite inputted from another Dish. If you need to see more than three birds, you...

Converting Voom dish to pick-up 61.5

An even simpler way would be to buy a Microyal DP single LNB which has the standard rectangular end that will work with the Voom Dish. www.microyal.com .

    multiple dwelling unit

This is not accurate. If you use Spaun switchs, you are not limited to 96 receivers. Check out www.spaun.com for diagrams. Spaun equipment is designed for commercial multi-dwelling unit applications and is more expensive that Echostar's residential equipment.

    DishPro LNBF needed?

You do not need an I adapter or any other adapter product. Microyal makes a DISHPro dual LNB with a standard rectangular head. You just need to track down a supplier for them. Go to their website, WWW.microyal.com and you should be able to track down a source.

Sathawk and Birdog and DPP Twin LNB

This is not the problem with the Sathawk meters. The DISH suggestion solves the insufficient current problem. The Sathawk problem is that the DPP Twin causes the meter's overload protection to kick in due to a lack of resistance.

Sathawk and Birdog and DPP Twin LNB

Anybody have any luck getting a DPP Twin to work with a Sathawk or Birdog Meter? It seems that the Dishpro Plus Twin does not provide a sufficient load to prevent the meters' overload protection from kicking in. This is not an insufficient voltage problem that is discussed in the Tech Bulletin...

residential account with 6 recievers wants to add 7th?

For billing purposes, it only counts as one receiver. As a general rule, a customer is limited to a total of 6 independent outputs (i.e. a 942, 625, 522, or 322 counts as 2 tuners while all others count as one). However, DISH makes exceptions that allow customers to have more than six outputs...

    2 Xs 322 Vs. 4 Xs 311

If you get a simple single channel UHF/Cable Channel modulator, you can add the 2nd tuner of the second 322 without running into the 3/4 channel problem.

    two signals one cable

    Yes, that would work.

    Dish vs Voom

Be careful with Comcrap. The HD signal may be better, but it may not. In many areas, Comcrap compresses more than any of the Satellite providers. It just depends on where you live. Also, the analog channels that you are receiving do not change when you get a digital box. They are still broadcast...

    Dish 811 Problem

Before you call for a new receiver, disconnect the Terk Antenna and see if the problem stops. If it does, get a better antenna, like the Winegard GS2200. They make a kit so you can mount it on a pole on the back of your Dish. We have had great luck with them in the Chicago area.
  23. drjake

    (2) 522's

Its not really six tuners but rather six distinguishable outputs. Thus, for example, if you were really nuts you could buy 6 921s (12 tuners) since only six programs could be watched at the same time.

    Off air antenna.......

GEt a Winegard GS2000 Sensar Antenna. It is bi-directional and much better than anything Terk has.

    Land lord stole my dish!!!!

Your assetion that something bolted to the house becomes the property owner is not necessarily true. The law of fixtures is complex and a black and white assertion that once you bolt something to the house it becomes the landlord's is overly simplistic. The terms of the lease, state statutes and...
