I just got Comcast HD installed. The dual tuner HD box (Motorola 6412) is very nice. The HD is just as good as E*. I have it connected via DVI to a 57 inch Sony Projection TV. The On Demand feature hooked me on cable within 2 minutes of playing with it. The remote is a bit clunkier and the guide...

Leaving Dish Network....and the coming back

Did you get the new account under your name with you SS number? I didn't think they would give a re-subscriber a new subscriber deal.

    Dish Network and Vonage

Vonage I have Vonage along with a 522,510 and 811. I also live in a house. I disconnected the phone companies line to the box on the outside of my house. I then plugged the vonage box into a wall jack in the house. Now all of my jacks work normally. All of the recievers can dial out without an...

Leaving Dish Network....and the coming back

No need to give up equipment In order to get the deal from Comcast $400 ($25 credit for 16 months) you don't have to give up the dish equipment (important since most lease). All you have to do is show them a recent bill.

Leaving Dish Network....and the coming back

No HBO Then $70 a month would be DVR/HD and the 180 package for $70 a month. which is on par with E* now. With cable I can upgrade to the newest box by just stopping by a service center....no extra $$ needed

Leaving Dish Network....and the coming back

3 Cables By 3 cables I mean three cables from the Dish. Two going to the 522 and one going to the 811. Cables from the boxes to the TV aren't an issue.

Leaving Dish Network....and the coming back

I currently have a 522, 811 and a 510. The 522 and 811 are on the same TV. I wanted a 921.....but couldn't pony up the cash. Having three cables running to one TV is a pain. All the equipment is leased. Comcast in my area has a dual tuner HDTV DVR for $9.95 monthly. Total cost for a package...

    ceo@dishnetwork

Ceo I used this email to get an 811 receiver for lease. I have had dish since April 2004. At the time of the install I wanted a DVR more than HD. Now I want HD as well. When I called the 800 number the agent (I think it's outsourced to India) said I had to buy the reciever and it would be $999...

    Dish Network and Vonage

I currently have two 510 DVRs and one 522 DVR. I also have the Vonage VoIP phone system. I assumed I could just plug in the receivers to the Vonage box and be done. Nope. When I do the phone test via the diag menu it passes. When I try to dial out it fails. I think this has to due with Vonage...
