I don't have the HD pack and i use the 522. It passes Dolby Digital 5.1 using the optical output jack into my Denon 3805 without issue. These are mainly on premium channels like showtime and hbo. Enjoy.

I have that problem too, however, I have been able to fix it by switching the channel and then switching it back. I am also having the sound synching problem. It all started after the software update.

I am seeing it on just one show too. It just started for me, right after the software was updated. It is really getting on my nerves. It is doing it as I type this actually. Sometimes I have to hit the back button several times before it syncs up.
