    I've heard some good things about RG11 coax over long runs. Is this compatible with Directv? Thought about using this with my over the air antenna and possible with my sat.

    Thanks, the reason I ask was the 700 had the rf option for the remote w/o a separate antennae and the 100 does not. Outside of that I really don't see a difference. Thanks!

    Hey all! I was hit by lightning last week and the dish and equipment took a direct hit. The tech was out Friday and got me set up. My question, my hd dvr WAS a HR20-700, the replacement IS a hr20-100s. Did I get a lesser dvr?

    Ah Ha! Hooked up the replacement reciever! Works great. No issues yet (fingers crossed). Before sending back the other reciever, I did notice it was trying to locate the 72.5 degree sat. (local channel?)

    Sounds like the dish may have moved if it wasn't secured well. Did the losing signal coincide with a increasing wind. Doesn't take much movement to lose a signal.

    Oh, also, it drops the signal on all satellites. Not just the HD.

    The other recievers I tried are HD recievers and work great. I'll try the new one when it comes, poss. tomorrow.

    Just got off the phone with DTV. They are sending a new reciever. Bad tuner? I dunno. One thing that was funny, WITHOUT a cable plugged into tuner2, the signal meter was telling me I was getting a signal! Can that possibly be right?:eek:

    I've have the same set up for quite a while now. 2 yrs, When I upgraded to HD. Absolutely no problem until I set up the HD DVR. I've been running two recievers on this set up for 2+ years. No line of site issues. Anyway, why would other recievers be completely fine if it was a line of site...
