It's really easy to tell an H2 from an H3. When you're recording something, if you see a little red light, it's an H2. Also, just look at the number of tuners. The H2 only has 3 tuners, while theH3 has 16.

How are the HBO streaming and the regular HBO channels different owners, different pipelines/rules, etc.?

I'm not entirely sure about that because for example: The two HBO streaming channels don't permit recording but those same movies may be recorded when shown on their regular channels. I suppose it's either a technical issue or a policy issue.

Not sure what you mean by what my source of information is. My three EHD's are all in their own enclosers, each with it's own power supply. This means i can turn them on or off independently. I buy the HD's then I buy enclosures for them. I keep them off when I'm not accessing their content...

I have three EHD's on my H3 attached via a powered hub. External power for the EHD's is also necessary.

I have an H3 and I do have an OTA antenna attached, but this issue was on the satellite. Anyway, this is the first time I experienced this problem, so maybe it was just a passing dark cloud. Who knows?

Already another new release. It seems every time they fix something, they inadvertently break something else and have to rush to fix that, likely breaking still something else. And the cycle continues, the price that is paid for not doing regression testing.
