WSAZ (Huntington, WV) 3.2 - switched to mostly ME-TV broadcasts

Do you think that they'll ever add any subs on the 30.1 CW station (that WSAZ owns now)? I wish they would, but I admittedly understand very little about how those decisions work.

WSAZ (Huntington, WV) 3.2 - switched to mostly ME-TV broadcasts

Just a bump to note that WSAZ seems to have dropped some of their syndicated material that would cut in and override the regular ME-TV schedule. I happened to flip past it yesterday, and noticed that Mama's Family was showing at 6:00 PM. In the not too far past, syndicated programming would...

Why can I get one and not the other?

Thanks for the input, everyone. The answers to most of your questions are available here: http://www.satelliteguys.us/xen/threads/improving-my-reception-or-just-out-of-luck.326334/ Actually, just realized the old TVFool data from that thread expired, so if anyone's curious, here's an updated...

Why can I get one and not the other?

Good day all, I've posted here sporadically, and after chatting with some of you, came to a quick idea that I live in the middle of nowhere in south central rural Ohio, and need to be content with the few channels that I can pull in. :) That said, any thoughts why I (on most days) can manage...

    Celebrate the holidays with MeTV

Yep... It was formerly the "MyZTv" network in Huntington, WV. Since the switch to MeTV, the same syndicated shows get aired from about 6-12 PM every day roughly. So, Rules of Engagement, The Office, Walking Dead, How I Met Your Mother, Hot in Cleveland, Cougartown, etc. I'm sure some people...

    Celebrate the holidays with MeTV

Wish my local MeTV didn't preempt it's primetime schedule for syndicated junk (IMHO). I'd much rather be watching the Christmas shows.

WSAZ (Huntington, WV) 3.2 - switched to mostly ME-TV broadcasts

Yep, that was the one... and I concur with your sentiment... hah. The only stations I can pick up are WSAZ, WQCW, the Portsmouth PBS stations, and *sometimes* Fox out of Huntington. It's very dependent upon weather conditions. But, yes, while I'm making wishes, I'd love it if Fox would...

WSAZ (Huntington, WV) 3.2 - switched to mostly ME-TV broadcasts

Yeah, I can't complain. I'm mostly just peeved that they pre-empt some of the Saturday evening programming. I don't get my 1960's Batman fix... :imconfused I keep my fingers crossed that they'll do something with a sub-channel on 30 some day...

WSAZ (Huntington, WV) 3.2 - switched to mostly ME-TV broadcasts

I was pleased to find that WSAZ's 3.2 channel recently switched to a mostly Me-TV lineup. They're still doing some evening (and occasional weekend) syndication of more recent shows, and also re-broadcast some of their news programs there as well, but, it's a big improvement over what was on...

Improving my reception... or just out of luck?

Hah, ok, I feel like the idiot now. I don't know where I got into my head that it was VHF. Sorry for the mixup! I'm looking at their website, and it shows their tower as being further south in KY currently. So, perhaps they're planning to transition over to that Ohio tower later.

Improving my reception... or just out of luck?

Quick follow-up question for everyone that helped me with this... I just realized that there is a VHF channel broadcasting COZI-TV from the same tower that my PBS stations are on. Here's the info: http://www.rabbitears.info/tvq.php?request=items&facid=68009 Is it likely I could get this...

Improving my reception... or just out of luck?

Sorry for the delay in replying. I've been researching FTA since you mentioned it, Kraven. I'd enjoy it just for the RetroTV, PBJ, etc channels if nothing else. Maybe something I'll consider in the future. Kevin_224... I'm trying to think way back. I didn't have an antenna up here in the...

Improving my reception... or just out of luck?

I take it I should just be thankful for what I *can* get, and enjoy living in the beautiful country-side between two hills? ;)

Improving my reception... or just out of luck?

Hi all, First, let me say, I'm not all that knowledgable on the OTA antenna process, besides just a rudimentary understanding. I'm hoping some of you that frequent this forum may be able to share some wisdom and info with me. Let me share my setup and question with you. My location: 39°...

Thankfully, they've been out from under their contract for awhile now. Thanks for the thought though.

    Converting from Dish to Skyangel?

One more question, and I promise I'll leave you alone! :-) IF... I'm not able to keep the leased box... I do have an old 301 unit stashed away in storage. However, I never received an updated card for that box like I did the 510 and old 501 I had. My question is, in that case, would one of...

    Converting from Dish to Skyangel?

Thanks for the quick response. I've read through some other threads here, regarding keeping a Dish DVR on a SkyAngel account, and I'm still a little unsure about something... With a leased 510 from Dish, would the mothly Dish bill just be the lease fee... or the lease fee + the DVR fee...

    Converting from Dish to Skyangel?

Hi all, My parents are interested in switching from Dish Network channels purely over to SkyAngel. They asked me to look into it, so I thought I'd drop a couple questions on here. They have a Superdish that is currently hitting 119, 110, and 105 (for Columbus, OH locals). However, they aren't...

2 questions... Superdish mover?... Locals only?

I wouldn't have a problem with that, if it's an acceptable thing to do. Does Dish condone having a seperate receiver at another home on a single account? I want to keep things on the up and up as much as possible. Thanks! -Ryan

2 questions... Superdish mover?... Locals only?

Thanks for the info, Iceberg. Unfortunately for them, they require a Superdish for their Columbus, OH locals. If I could ask another question... is the "Essential Services" package available to anyone? I used it briefly, when I was temporarily reducing montly costs a year or so ago...

2 questions... Superdish mover?... Locals only?

Hi all, I've got a quick question. I'll be moving out of my parent's house soon, and taking my 510 and 501 with me to my new home. Here are the resulting questions... 1.) On Dish Network's web site, under the Dishmover information link, it just mentions Dish 500. When I move, will...
