The "fish hook" feed that is on that dish tended to sag with age. If you get the dish you can either use guy wires to stabilize the feed, or i can provide photos (with measurements) of the parts necessary to modify the dish with a quad leg feed support.

What is the absolute minumum that one can subscribe to and keep a dish account active? I currently subscribe to the top 250 plus TV Japan, and local HD channels. Would it be possible to shut it all down except for TV Japan? I am considering a move to the other sat service due to more HD...

Any HD is better than nothing. Hawaii and Alaska are stuck with the absolute minimum of HD channels until maybe when the next satellite is launched. (Next spring?) I will not hold my breath.
