Cool, now I can play with stuff to experiment. I was unsure what the Video "B" was for. Thank you again. I have followed most of your posts regarding the Tt3200 and DVB Viewer and have gained a lot of knowledge. I sincerely appreciate the information.

New PCI DVB Cards I just placed an order for a Techno Trend S-2 3200 card. According to CyberEstore, it will be sent when they receive their pending shipment. I am using a Dell Computer with Vista Ultimate. Processor is a Core 2 duo E6850@ 3 GHz and the video card is a Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT...

    8 1/2 foot Paraclipse - it's mine...

One question you had in your first note asked about focal length. You can reinsert the button hook feed in to the dish base, (making sure it is fully seated) and then measure the distance to the feed horn. It should be fairly accurate. Conversion to a multiple leg feed support should be...

    Paraclipse Dish?

The "fish hook" feed that is on that dish tended to sag with age. If you get the dish you can either use guy wires to stabilize the feed, or i can provide photos (with measurements) of the parts necessary to modify the dish with a quad leg feed support.

How do I get a NFL remote without getting Sunday Ticket?

Hawai has special equipment to receive Directv. Therefore we are not permitted to order any "equipment" online. I tried to order the NFL remote via the Direct site. I was rejected and the site indicated I needed to call a CSR. I called the CSR and the person I talked with told me that I needed...

    Re-meshing dish

When I installed my fourteen foot paraclypse, I raised the dish to the pole without having installed 1/4 th of the mesh. I did it that way so we could lift that monster to the mount. That evening I watched C band even though the mesh was not yet installed. There will be a significant signal...

    Team Summit: General Assembly Notes

So does Dishnetwork. That is why I had to move to Direct for most of my programming. Keeping one channel along with all of the other "fees" on one of my dish receivers in case they ever decide to consider AK and HI as part of the nation.

Will Hawaii ever get Full HD Lineup

Well, if I were only going to visit here, I would agree with you. Given that I have lived here for over twenty years, I have spent many hours watching Paradise. Keep in mind, though, that we work here too. After a full day of work, we like to come home and sit down with a cold one, and...

Will Hawaii ever get Full HD Lineup

Lol No doubt, but coming soon does not quite cut it. Further I have not totally disconnected Dishnet. It can always be upgraded again. Receivers are mine, and all it takes is a call to the CSR. In the mean time I am watching much more HD this evening than was possible last night...

Will Hawaii ever get Full HD Lineup

Living on Maui, I felt the same frustration as you do. Today Direct is coming to hook me up with the other service. I particularly liked Dishnetwork hardware, but the offset for us is about thirty more channels in HD, not counting regional sports, and premium channels that are available in...

    A Question On Downgrading Service

I own all four of my receivers. Hate to leave dish, but they offer almost nothing in HD for Hawaii and it appears as though they are not interested in improving the situation anytime soon.

    A Question On Downgrading Service

Thanks for the response. I will be dealing with the CSR's in a day or so..

    A Question On Downgrading Service

What is the absolute minumum that one can subscribe to and keep a dish account active? I currently subscribe to the top 250 plus TV Japan, and local HD channels. Would it be possible to shut it all down except for TV Japan? I am considering a move to the other sat service due to more HD...

    Launch Predictions 10/10

Any HD is better than nothing. Hawaii and Alaska are stuck with the absolute minimum of HD channels until maybe when the next satellite is launched. (Next spring?) I will not hold my breath.
