DirecTV tells me they don't want to get involved b/c me and an HOA. They tell me they will not come out and provide this letter. Finally my girlfriend calls them and somehow convinces them to come out, which we did, and once that was done, it still was not good enough.

The letter is on the letterhead of the company that DTV contracted out. The HOA manager even confirmed that he talked w/ the guy on the phone and he told him there was no where else to put the dish.... These trees are HUGE trees, 150' tall. It would require more then a trim.

The otard rules state: "The rule prohibits most restrictions that: (2) unreasonably increase the cost of installation, maintenance or use" They can't make you cut down trees. It would cost a fortune.

I did fill out out the paperwork, and they declined the only location the dish could be.

I have a signed letter from DTV stating that there is NO other location to put the dish. I would have moved it if i could...believe me.

Ya you guys are right, I'll go talk to the HOA lawyer tomorrow and see what he says. I have read the entire OTARD rules, I am under those rules in every circumstance. I am 100% covered by those rules. I actually told them about the OTARD at the 1st hearing, and they were like, you don't wanna...

Maybe...but I turned in the notification and they declined the location, stating that it must be moved, and that in 9 years, he had never heard of a dish that could not be mounted on top of a house.
