SOAK: Enigma2 set-top box channel editor software thread

I made a backup copy of the directories containing the DreamBoxEdit files so if I upload a config from the box they won't get overwritten. If, by mistake, I do a blind scan on 103 and clobber the radio channels, I can open the backup, select all the 103 radio channels, copy them, open the main...

A bit of trial-and-error with dreamboxEDIT and info from the mentioned thread got the radio channels working on my Mio4K. Thanks to all for the help.

    OS mio 4K

Currently running OpenATV 6.2 nightly on the mio 4K and don't see a way of doing a PID scan so the "hidden" radio streams on 103W can be discovered. Is there another distro compatible with this receiver which supports PID scan?

    Titanium's New Product....

Looking forward to a review. Have been thinking about the Octagon SF8008, but am liking what I read about this box. Currently using an Octagon SF4008 running OpenEight and am really missing blind scan.

Free LRIT/HRIT software for Goes 16

As mentioned on other threads here, check out the fine work of Lucas Teske's Open Satellite Project. All source code on Open Satellite Project · GitHub. Currently working with GOES LRIT and HRIT with GRB currently under development. I'm using a 1900 MHz grid dish and an Airspy under Linux...

Dr.HD 1000S+ Satellite Finder SO FREAKING COOL!

Thanks Brian. Knew it had to be something simple. Had a chance to play with this for an extended time today and as the thread title says, it is freaking cool! Compared to the SatHero SH900, this meter is so much better. Satellites listed in western hemisphere, HDMI connection to NTSC TV...

Dr.HD 1000S+ Satellite Finder SO FREAKING COOL!

Received the meter today and one thing I can't figure out is how to input my lat/long so that USALS motor will work. Other than that, first impressions are positive.

Dr.HD 1000S+ Satellite Finder SO FREAKING COOL!

Great video Brian. Makes me glad I bought one. Looking forward to trying it out tomorrow when it's delivered. Looks much better that the SatHero SH900.

Dr.HD 1000S+ Satellite Finder SO FREAKING COOL!

How is the reaction time to changes in signal level? I recently bought a SatHero HD900 and am disappointed at it's slow reaction to changes in signal level. Makes it kind of useless for finding satellites and fine tuning.

GOES 16 GRB downlink vs GVAR

Ask Lucas (racerxdl) which DVB-S2 board is being tested. The beta firmware is for an Ayecka receiver which is a standalone device but costs quite a bit more than the PC board alternative.

GOES 16 GRB downlink vs GVAR

There is an open source effort (OpenSatelliteProject) underway to produce software which will handle GRB from GOES-16. Currently the software is working with LRIT and HRIT. Beta firmware for a commercial receiver is being tested in addition to a DVB-S2 board for a PC. I've been running the...

    6 foot dish install

This is what I'm using. See rest of pics on page 14 of this thread. Bought it here. It's the "Roof Mount - Non-Penetrating for large offset dishes". Worked very well on my 1.2M offset. I got a custom pipe fabricated by a local shop to give it a bit more height. Used PVC pipe to snug...

    6 foot dish install

Thanks. I've been using this mount for a couple of years with a GeoSat Pro 1.2M offset, added a couple more cinder blocks and it's ready for the new Bud. Now all I need to do is get it all to work. Just bought a digital meter and compass today and this weekend I'll take some of Brent's advice...

    6 foot dish install

I've assembled the dish and installed it, but being a C-Band noob I don't quite understand where the declination and elevation measurements should be made. After quite a few attempts I haven't found any signals. Of course since Horizons 2 (74W) is my direct south satellite (no C-band) and I'm...

Contest: Enter to Win a Mini BUD from Satellite AV

Playing stickball around the corner in our neighbor's driveway and in the street. The location was lovingly known as "Krudly's Corner" named [sort of] after the owner who had 2 kids. This was one of three "stadiums" we played at :)

Multiple LNB's on a Channel Master 1.2m Dish

The DigiWave brackets look interesting, but I have a GeosatPro 1.2M dish which has a round, not square mounting arm. Does anyone know of a similar solution which will let me mount both my QPH-031 and GeoSatpro C2 LNBFs?
