New Voom commercial.. seems like a good sign.

I was watching VH-1 getting ready for work and VOOM did have a 30 second or so commercial I have not seen before. I am in the Orlando, FL market.

Cablevision Enters into Interim Agreement Regarding VOOM

I couldn't agree more, getting the subs and keeping them. The first is worthless without the second. On an earlier post I mentioned another reason for VOOM's lack of success was essentially customer retention. And yes, it is very expensive to get customers which is why customer satisfaction...

Cablevision Enters into Interim Agreement Regarding VOOM

Please try to understand getting subs will not be the problem. VOOM added 20,000 subs in the past 2 mos approximately and with what marketing. The infomercial at 2 am or the magazine ad. Their marketing sucks right now and yet because of only the improved offer and independent dealers and...

Cablevision Enters into Interim Agreement Regarding VOOM

GadgetRick, Show some respect or shut your mouth if you can't. I don't know it all but I sure know a lot more than you on this subject since I work in this environment every day. If you read my post you would see I sell VOOM equipment to dealers. So I do know more than you because I do this...

Cablevision Enters into Interim Agreement Regarding VOOM

GADGETRICK, I've said this before and I know this to be true because I work with VOOM dealers every day, getting subs is not the problem. VOOM had too many subs and couldn't handle the load and once installed customer retention due to poor installs was horrible. 46,000 is more than nothing...

    March 7th........ The end????

this is a chess match and James is clearly outclassed and is slowly running out of room to move. Voom will continue.

Another new SEC filing (CVC 8-k): Closing of Rainbow DBS business has been delayed!

It's okay to spend a bit on getting subs if we can keep them. That's always been the problem with VOOM, keeping not getting.

Big News: New VOOM HD LL Web Site (They are back! or Are they?) YES!

Isn't Network Solutions a web hosting company and it makes sense that if Chuck Dolan buys VOOM he won't have a web server immediately, but he can have someone get it up and running.

46,000 VOOM Subscribers As Of 2/28/2005 Reported

Jnardone, You are assuming direct sales is the only way VOOM gets customers. In Florida alone we have BrandSmart and a number of independent dealers which drive a lot of the sales. Don't rely on CSR figures to try and figure out VOOM;s growth. Sales are growing every day in Florida and around...

46,000 VOOM Subscribers As Of 2/28/2005 Reported

jnardone, on what basis do you say VOOM couldn't have added that many subs? I know first hand by the amount of receivers rolling out my door EVERY DAY that the subscriber count is easily at 46,000. We can and have handled the workload and are poised for additional growth. What most people...

Voom can be closed down in 30 days. Is it really dead this time?

VOOM is far from dead. The subscriber bas is growing rapidly and there are more customers than VOOM can install. Why would any business man in his right mind walk away from this momentum that is building.

Voom can be closed down in 30 days. Is it really dead this time?

The signs of VOOM being shut down aren't ignored, it's just not done and this is not speculation. This is fact.

Voom can be closed down in 30 days. Is it really dead this time?

This is not over, there will be more surprises and VOOM will be running tomorrow and much longer than the 30 days this release says.

Voom can be closed down in 30 days. Is it really dead this time?

I think Sean is hanging on because despite Cablevision's clear statements (HAHAHAHA) this really isn't over. I know for a fact another memo to employees followed this release saying VOOM isn't shutting down. I'm not saying VOOM will live on, but don't throw the dirt on just yet.

VOOM Continues Marketing - Gaining New Subscribers

I don't know what the numbers are but I can tell you working for the distributor that supplies dealers in FL sales have skyrocketed. To be fair, this is just my little bubble I have information on but thought I might share.

Good points and I have to agree that those were contributing factors.

VOOM Continues Marketing - Gaining New Subscribers

VOOM lost subscibers because there install procedures were a mess and the customer support for current customers was terrible. Make no mistake about it, VOOM does not struggle to get customers. As for the 140 subs on Sunday, that's one day and at what time. Remember, VOOM also gets subs...

Charles Dolan to buy Voom Back?

Charles Dolan to buy Voom Back?

Enough Already People that have limited knowledge crack me up. I know from first hand experience that all this BS about their not being a big enough market for VOOM's HD push or the competition was just too tough is wrong. VOOM's biggest mistake was in marketing and installing/maintaining...

    Newsday Story 1/25/05

What most people don't realize is that gaining customers was not VOOM's problem. In fact, they had more than they could handle. It's the logistics of installing and maintaining that was screwed up. So for all those that say the HD market is too small is simply wrong and guesswork on their part...

The most telling sign I've seen so far regarding Voom's fate?

Maybe BrandSmart is backed up as hell on their installs and can;t take any more business. Anyone think of that?

    Cablevision's Voom Faces Deepening Gloom

The subject of VOOM's subscriber activity with this new offer is a question on some folks mind. I can only speak for Florida, but VOOM's sales have soared in the past few weeks. If the momentum keeps up and they continue to improve channel lineup they can right this ship. Oh yeah, DVR required.

    Proof VOOM lies!!!!!!

I can't believe this cryin' over a few HD channels when VOOM's HD content is way way ahead of any competitor. Every sat and cable company stretch and occasionally blow right past the truth. I wonder if you call out D* and E* on their shortcomings like you do VOOM. Or is it easier to complain...

Is there any chance to get rid of the land phone line requirement

I know of plenty of people watching VOOM just fine with no phone line connection. I have to believe this is nothing more than laying the groundwork to generate revenue in the future.
