Soon to be D* subscriber (newbie)......so sorry for the (maybe) obvious questions. If I subscribe to the NFL sunday ticket and had a Samsung 360 HD receiver, will I receive those FOX games in HD (that are broadcast in HD that is) or do I need some other equipment (an off-air antenna) ? I...

    At my wit's end

And the "Heaviest" rain seems to happen every day from June to September..........NEVER, EVER lost cable, even in the "Heaviest" of rain......... Just confirming the topic starters (ACDon) problems with Direct TV are not isolated issues.........look at the these topics on this...

    At my wit's end

Everyone I know with Sat TV loses pictures EVERY SINGLE TIME it rains (and thats every day here in Orlando). I'll stick with a system that I can watch during the rainy season. But the bright side is, those with Sat TV can bond with their families every day when the signal goes...

    At my wit's end

I was thinking about Direct TV (as I live in Orlando and have Brighthouse as well)....until I saw a side by side (2 exact same TVs, one with Cable and one with Direct TV)........not much difference.....even if they say 100% digital on Sat TV........really not enough of a pic quality difference...

Why does Dish, VOOM and even cable have no commitment...but Direct does ??

From the Direct TV Web site: "Consequences of your Failure to Maintain Programming Commitment: If you fail to maintain and pay for twelve (12) consecutive months of the required programming package, you agree that DIRECTV may charge you a prorated fee of up to one hundred fifty US dollars...

Why does Dish, VOOM and even cable have no commitment...but Direct does ??

I am confused as to why Dish, VOOM and even cable will let consumers use the service WITHOUT a year commitment, and Direct TV requires it. I have been reading everything posted on these message boards that indicate Direct TV is much more superior to the others (in picture quality, customer...

Direct TV (with no commitment) ??

Well, I saw this "fine print" on dealers offers in the paper, so it sounds like it applies even if you dont buy directly from DirectTV.... so, from the dealer above, it sounds like it is true.......buy it and try it out for a while and spend a few bucks to pack up the equipment and send back...

Direct TV (with no commitment) ??

All of the fine print I read on Direct TV, states that if I cancel my subscription before the 12 month period is over, Direct TV would charge me $150 (per receiver) - pro-rated....OR if I return all the receivers, access cards, etc I would not be charged ? Does that mean that I can "try"...
