    vip612 internal hard drive replacement

    Do you mind telling us what show you are trying to record? I have a pioneer 531 dvd recorder hooked up via the rca plugs.

    I believe what Directv will do is send someone to your house to physically verify the receivers are there.

    Two things.... 1. Depending on how far away the mountains are, you may not be able to get the networks. (ABC,NBC,CBS,FOX..etc.) These are spot-beamed, so if you get out the area, you wouldn't be able to pick them up. 2. While at home, I would hook the receiver up somewhere in the house...

    If you press the "info" button when you see the little clock flashing, you will get the option to cancel the recording before the channel changes.

    I've been checked once, over a year ago. I've been a customer with dish since 1999. Probably whoever checked you the first time didn't enter it into the computer that you had passed.

    Actually, you only need ONE netgear xe102, plugged in and attached to your router. The 722 is homeplug compatible.

    Dish just shut down my 942 without notice !

    dish sent me a replacement for my 721 I don't understand why they wouldn't send you one and let you hook it up. They sent me a leased receiver, and were going to give me $10 for my 721 ( which i just took the hard drive out and threw the rest away)

    hooking up the phone line.

    Closer...but still not quite. Dish will want the location id number found on the system info page, not the R00 & S00 numbers. Dish can send a command and change the location id number anytime.

    Has anyone made the swap yet? Did Dish send you the 522, or did an installer come out to hook it up? Also, what happened with the old 721?

    Is it better to have the dp34 switch nearer to the dish or to the receivers? Or does it really matter?
