How do you rate FTA to PC quality wise?

MUCH better, I used to install DirecTV HD, but there is NOTHING quite like FTA HD on a PC screen right up against your face!

TP scan vs blind scan traxis

I use the Traxis DBS 3500 and the Auto scan is VERY fast! Also seems to find channels that my other receivers miss!

    2º compliant dish question.

This is the dish I use, very nearly 2º compliant @ Mainlobe Beamwidth: C Band: 2.915 degrees I have read that its not just the size of the dish but also the depth! http://www.samidish.com/6ft.html

    Clip on OTA antenna

I used one for years on my DirecPC dish and then my 90cm dish, apart from the slightly extra weight it will not change any of your FTA signals!

Setting up Fortec 100 cm Dish SG 2100 motor & Invacom LNB

IA-5 is your TRUE south satellite, so thats the satellite you would be aiming at when setting up the motor. Have a look here for help with the setup of the motor........... http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?t=50257 Its sometimes an idea to find the satellite and store it (With...

Depends on the LNB holder, I crack open my LNB to expose the 20mm neck then they fit right onto the P* LNB holder. Invacom make GREAT LNB's and are gold sponsors here, the XtremeII LNBF is also very popular.

WELCOME to the SatelliteGuys.US FTA forum! The above LNBF can't be skewed. It came from a DirecDuo system where the dish would have to be skewed. Yes a DiSEqC switch will work with the old LNB.

Setting up Fortec 100 cm Dish SG 2100 motor & Invacom LNB

Takes me 2 hours to install a motorized system, but your best taking your time and enjoying the setup. It was 70º here in MN. yesterday so you should have just enough time to get the dish installed. The Tube is an all music video channel, unfortunately is now only on C-Band satellite @ 87ºw...

Setting up Fortec 100 cm Dish SG 2100 motor & Invacom LNB

What channels and satellites are you aiming for? Putting a ku dish on a 10' pole is a bad idea (IMO) if the dish moves just a few millimeters you will loose the picture! I HATE putting satellite dish on a roof, but that may be your BEST option. Most Invacoms are Universal (L.O. =...

    FTA Installation Problem

I would try to find the satellite without the motor first, see below for all angles to the satellites from your area........... make sure your L.O. is set to 10750 and just use one Linear output for now. Austin, MN 55912 Latitude 43° 40.170'N Longitude...

    Dish when at it's extremes

Glad to hear its working out for you :) Its a great way to set up a dish, one elevation gets all satellites of the Clarke Belt, and the skew is always spot on. (Some satellites are not :) )

Help me on satellite finder :(

Moving to the main FTA area, the dial turns down the needle, when you hit a strong signal the needle will go off the scale, by turning down the dial it brings down the level, this helps when peaking a signal.

Newbie Help: Installing a Winegard 76cm

Keep in mind that with off-set dish the signal comes down from the satellite at around 22-24º higher than where the dish seems to be pointing. So you may not need to go as high as you think!

Newbie Help: Installing a Winegard 76cm

WELCOME to the SatelliteGuys.US FTA forum! I would use fencing tube if you can't get anything lighter, the higher the dish is the more it will move in the wind so it will HAVE to be supported by wires or you are wasting your time with the weaker linear Ku signals, I would not go any...

    2º compliant dish question.

And thats very cool, but is that interference from adjacent satellites? Have you ever NOT been able to get a digital signal with a 6' dish because of this interference from adjacent satellites may be a better way to put it. Of course with analog it manifests itself as two pictures at the same...
