I had it too, with my local fox station, and when i contacted them, they blamed the provider, which for me happened with Comcast, and then again with Dish. I bet its the equipment that the Fox affiliates are using.

Sounds like you need to get your dish re-peaked to the satellite. A Minor adjustment could make a huge difference.

I would escalate the issue, they shouldnt make you jump thru the hoops like that, or take away your channels for that long of a period of time. I also dont think you should have to extend your contract, they knew these things were coming down the road a couple of months ago.
