I just had this problem happen within the last 10 days on a pair of my subchannels. The question is why would guide data for subchannels that has been correct for many years suddenly flip flop to the wrong channel, no changes that I'm aware of by the broadcaster.

I too lost KARE 11 from my Dish package but get KMNF channel 7 NBC from Mankato via OTA which I have hooked to my Dish receiver, however the Dish guide info is for a CBS channel in a different time zone, very frustrating.

Dish is not participating. Went on the Showtime website to check their schedule for the free preview weekend and instead found a list of participating providers, in the fine print at the bottom it says not available to Dish Network customers. Bummer, here's the link to the Showtime page...

FWIW, got the Platinum channels via online chat a little earlier today, quick, easy, no questions. I have the Silver Package (4 years) along with HD Silver (18 months)and simply asked if I could have the former Platinum channels that are now part of the $10 Silver HD Pack.

Why involve your satellite system at all? Sounds to me like the easy solution is to run coax from your antenna to the TV you want to watch locals on, use your Digital converter box to hook directly to that TV via another input.

This is the way to go, Starz would be my top choice and if you can add Cinemax for a penny there's no reason not to have that as well.
