Can you get the 4K channels that Directv offers with ATT TV?

Sorry don’t have the HS17 and don’t have this problem with the HR54. I’m sure someone who does have the HS17 can chime in on that.

Press and hold exit button down for 10 seconds. Banner should come up saying HD channels are back. Probably accidentally sat on the remote and deactivated HD. Had the same thing happen to me.

Here’s an idea! Since the Live 4K Channel is part time and only for certain events, how about a banner to let people know that the event they are watching is also available in 4K and giving them the option to go to that channel.

That could have something to do with the HDMI input they were using on their TV. Some only do 4K at 30. They need to find the HDMI input that will do 60. I could be wrong.

I have a Genie, two Minis, two HR24s and HR22. and all works great.

I am getting my upgrade installed today and the tech called and said that I will be getting a HR44. I am in the Charleston, SC market.

When they come, have them activate the Whole Home service. You would then have no need to transfer as you will have access to the recordings on all receivers. I imagine thats what they would do anyway, but not sure if you knew about that option.

I have 5 HD-DVR's and I have never had to pay anything to get them. D* has been very good to me. I just keep calling and asking. I am waiting on the HR44 and then see what I can work out. But with 5 DVR's, do I really need it? Lol

You can also download a program called Play On on your home computer. I think it has a free trial period. This program allows you to stream Netflix to your HDDVR through your home network. You won't be able to fast forward, rewind or resume playback with it though.

I love the Whole Home DVR. I have 4 HD-DVRs! I think maybe thats overkill but they keep giving them to me for free so why not. I mean they only charge the DVR fee once and I would pay the 6.00 fee regardless if it is a reg receiver or HDDVR.

Got mine installed yesterday and i got the HR24-500 and man i love this receiver. This is what every Directv receiver should be. It is pretty fast. Glad to see they finally got it right. Now if they will just do a HD GUI that would be perfect.

Checked mine today online and got a HDDVR being installed free along with DECA's for my receivers so I can get the supported version on Whole Home DVR along with the Directv Cinema kits for free this Saturday.
