Yeah, same here. All of my complaining yesterday was for nothing, since both of my boxes downloaded the new HD NR overnight after my force download last night reverted me to the SD version.

Yep, and I hated it then, too. I'm an HD snob... So sue me.

That's very strange, but ok... So now that I'm on the NR, can I force another download to get the new software, or am I somehow stuck with this?

I didn't say I was forced to do a download - I am (or was) on a CE release that is a few weeks old (haven't been around to do a newer one lately) and I've been waiting for a chance to get back on a National release but still keep the HD GUI. Why it's taking so long to release the darn thing in...

This is the key.... and make sure they both know that you're talking to the other one. If you're willing to go back and forth a few times and be patient, you can probably get a pretty good deal from either.

Every game doesn't mean every possible feed of that game, right? So if a game is carried by each team's local station, as long as D* has at least one of them, they have that game in HD. Am I simplifying this too much?

Of course, if all you want to do is watch your local team, you can do that for free on your local station, right....?

I assume "the other poster" is me, and I wasn't trying to make any claims about what you should be doing with your time. I was just stating my own opinion. Would it be nice to have more HD? Sure. I'm just not a a point in my life where it's important enough for me to come on here and complain...

Didn't you start this thread once already? http://www.satelliteguys.us/directv-forum/150116-annoyed-wating-new-hd.html I'd be the first to say they could dump all of the PPV's in favor of new HD channels, but I don't think anything's really changed since you posted this the last time...
