    Is my H20-100 bad?

Close to a $100 a month, I guess I will visit the E website again before my contract expires. As much as I like HD, that's more than I want to pay at the moment. I certainly do appreciate all your comments Hemi, It gives me more insight on what I should do in the coming months.

    Is my H20-100 bad?

Hey thanks, I wonder if E is taking the low road also by not including a tuner in their latest generation receivers? How does one know if they are committed to two more years? One last thing, if I subscribe to 75.99 plan, would I have to add 2.50 x 3 for networks, 5.00 lease and sales tax...

    Is my H20-100 bad?

I have been reading many of the threads on this great forum for some answer's but I am becoming more confused the further I go. So I am going to ask several questions and hopefully some one can advise me. I've been a sub for six years, love HD and have had minimal problems with service and...

    24 month contract clarification

Exactly my argument. Most of the csr's read a script when you call, why not add that to the script so the consumer is made aware before making a commitment. I would bet a lot of customers would think twice before committing to another two years.

    24 month contract clarification

Are you pursuing D for the credit? Yeah the penny wise, pound foolish phrase comes to mind when talking about bean counters. I'm wondering how many people jump ship after each price increase. I am presently waiting for a reply from D to my latest question (which incidentally has been...

    24 month contract clarification

Due to the latest price increase, It prompted me to begin research for a new provider (E) and found that I could improve my package, add one dvr and pay approximately $5 less than my current package with D. However, D insists that my contract does not expire until 2/24/2010. My original...

    Receiver for OTA HD only

Thanks for this information! I recently retired my Sony SAT-HD 300 and was thinking about fleabaying it, but now I think I will use it in the garage. Is it just me or does anyone else hate to sell something they paid major $ (granted, years ago) only to see it command 10-20 % of the original...

    Nesn Hd

I don't understand why they just can't make it available to others outside the DMA(if they are authorized, of course) and just let people try and see if they get it. If they can't, then they can't and would have to wait, but if you can, then great, you are all set. I understand this will change...

    Those in the snow areas

Not so good for me. We just got 10" and I competely lost all signals. LNB'S had no snow but the base of my slimline accumulated some snow thus the signal loss. Pain to put the ladder up and clear but all is well again.

    b band converter module

I recently upgraded to the h-20 receiver and slimline dish and was wondering how many of you subs leave the "b band converter module" connected. Does this module affect the picture quality? I know the installer said the signal strength is impacted but not the picture quality. Is this true? I am...

    OK all you dtv pros

First of all, thanks charper1 for the links, no go w/mpeg4, I did know what rsn stood for, brain fart on my behalf, and I do get abc, nbc and fox dns's. What I don't know is am I needlessly paying for them when I can view them on channels 82,86 and 88? As for you dknow, (I like the old pats...

    OK all you dtv pros

Thank you all for your advice. Reading your comments raises a couple more questions one being how do find out if mpeg 4 channels are available in my area? Another is what is RSN, ( I didn't see it in the glossary) and finally, regarding the Portland, ME feeds, I am getting abc, nbc and fox in HD...
