I live in Missouri myself and when there is bad weather going on, I watch my local news stations as their coverage is better and its dedicated to just that. TWC usually is less accurate than the local stations.

You should give them a little more time because these things do take time, especially adding more HD, I bet that they will add AMC in HD soon prolly sometime this summer because they should have the capacity for it.

I just switched from Dish to Direct yesterday. I have to say that the overall quality of Directv is way much better than Dish. The SD channels are clearer and better than Dish's feeds and the HD channels are so much more sharp and fine than Dish ever had. I was watching a movie on HBO last week...

Yeah I am getting DirecTV installed this thursday as well. I am getting rid of Dish Network. I am getting the XTRA package plus HD and I am getting one HD DVR, One HD receiver, and one Standard receiver. I can't wait.

Let me know how your install goes because I too am switching from Dish to DirecTV (mainly for the HD channels that are available on DirectTV that aren't currently carried by Dish and also for the MLB network). My install is March 24th.
