It's hard to say. From what I've seen sometime they're available in a few hours, sometimes days or months. And sometimes they are never available. Having said that rumor has it a couple should be available by the end of the week. Let's keep our fingers crossed.:)

When those channels go live it's going to make it awful tempting to go the HD only package.

I was at my in laws this weekend and they were convinced that since they have D* HD that ALL channels were in HD. They also had the image stretched out all funny for the SD and HD channels so every thing looked like crap. But they didn't seem to mind and didn't want me to try and fix it either...

From what I've seen posted before CSR's don't usually know about the new channels for a day or so after they're available. I would try again tomorrow.

I was also. After the Scott's update yesterday I expected no SciFi or USA but was hoping for chiller.

Unless there is a MPEG4 SD receiver in the works but I doubt it. I cant see them developing any more SD only receivers.

I believe that only the ViP series are MPEG4.
