Wouldnt it be nasty if "when" the dvr comes out, that its offered to "new customers" as a package deal first, and then making current customers go on a waiting list?

Dont expect that rebate too soon. It took me the longest time to get it. Only after I baggered them did they finally come thru. Tivo is really poor on getting rebates out.

The nice thing is your recordings will still be letterbox on the tivo, not 4x3 (most voom hd is wide screen/letterbox). Sure it wont be in hd, but the correct ratio for hd tv viewing. Another nice + is you get the great tivo channel guide layout. When or if power ever goes out to the voom, or...

Dont care what people "think" or "assume". Just the facts please. And voom is not offering any facts on the dvr release. When their website says "voom dvr now available", then I'll believe the dvr is here. I cant believe how these posts can drag on with wishful hopeful thinking only to be shot...
