I'm enjoying it although I also would have preferred and additional regular Halloween station that plays songs like Thriller, Werewolf in London, highway to hell, ghostbusters, dead man's party.
That's because the Xtra Channels are just shuffled playlists. Nothing streams live on there which is why songs start from the beginning and you can skip songs.
I got the card mail today. Not going to bother hooking up my deactivated radio as the content and sq is terrible. I will stick with Internet radio on my iPod touch like Slacker/AOL Radio, DI, SKY.fm and Somafm.
IHeartRadio at least is more stable then the Radio App. Stupid CBS forcing you to use there buggy app. TuneIn is great otherwise. I love all the stations.
As for Pandora I don't like it as I prefer Last.fm for $3 a month.
I agree the old 80's channel was great I use to listen to it for hours and hear many great songs now the cruddy version we have now I can't even keep it on for 15 minutes without hearing burnout from the same 20 songs.
Satellite radio is crap thanks to the merger. What use to be deep playlists on many channels is replaced with the same songs over and over again. Just hear how bad the 60s & 80s channel sounds. Also the sq is horrible.
I would never get the hybrid satellite with WiFi. My 3rd generation iPod...
XM 80's channel use to be great. I could listen to it for hours and hear many great 80's songs. Then after the merger Sirius took over and made it the big 80's and now I can even listen to it for 15 minutes without hearing the same 20 songs over and over again. I put it on now and all I hear...
I wasted my money on a bunch of radio apps some don't even let you add your own custom streams and they lock the screen. I like to keep the screen on even on battery because with it locked sometimes it turns off the wifi.
TuneIn is the best out of all of them. It lets you add your own...
Xm radio sucks the big one. Just shallow playlists and waste one artist channels. Thank you not for ruining what xm radio was great for. The 80s channel is a butchered mess now. Maybe they should rename it the prince and Asia heat of the moment channel because that is all I heat when I tune it...
I agree with you these one artist channels are a waste. I gave my radio to my uncle last year so he can listen to Southern Gospel but no they are dumping that but leaving all of these one artist channels. Since they are dumping the only channel he listens to he said it was okay for me to...
I told my uncle that they are dropping his favorite channel and it is okay because he said I can cancel the service May 5th. I hope they don't give me a hassle to cancel.
Like I said I use to love XM with it's variety and deep playlists until they had to approve the merger and I knew Sirius...
Looks like they are dumping Enlighten to online only instead of dropping one of there 22+ rock crap stations that all sound the same. I gave my uncle my radio last year and cancelled the second radio when I got my iPod Touch to just stick with superior quality and sound of internet radio. Now...
What annoys me is that you can sign up online to there service but you can't cancel online. I hate having to call and speak with some idiot half way around the world to cancel something.
Well I don't have a car or a drivers license. I can stream internet radio almost everywhere around my house. I also have it hooked up to a dock.
XM you can get anywhere but the service is just plain terrible now. It is very repeative and the sound quality is just plain terrible. On my...
I am still getting the crappy 32k streams and my subscription runs out in October. 32k WMA SQ is terrible. You need at least 64k but AAC streaming is so much better. I barely listened to the online radio anyway. I can get much more online like Di.fm subscription which blows away the pathetic...
Greed plain and simple. Looks like I will be finally canceling my second radio. I will tell my uncle that the price went up and I can't afford it anymore even though I can I refuse to pay extra even for the online streams. He can live without his southern gospel music.
This is what sucks about...
If you want Trance and Progressive subscribe to di.fm. They got two trance stations and there own Progressive channel. The problem is that it is not portable and needs a internet connection. Satellite radio is pathetic with dance music. They are manly rock crap with 21 stations of that crap...
