If you have the lifetime sub it's stated that they will transfer for 75 bucks, but I have also heard of people not paying for the transfer. If you just pay monthly or yearly I don't believe there is a fee, you just call and have them activate the new radio and turn off the old one.

I feel your pain, I was pissed, on my way home from work I turned to that channel and found out it was gone. I sent an email to sirius, but have not heard back.

So I went to listen to Discovery on the way home last night and found out it is gone. I really liked that channel except when they had the wedding programs. Anyway I'm very dissapointed!!!:mad:

I'm not one who needs to have the latest in receivers and such so I'm thinking I should get on the lifetime subscription with Sirius before this happens. I'll be on my 3rd year with Sirius and I still have the PNP 2, if I had just signed up for the lifetime then I'd almost be money ahead right...

Are you sure it's not because XM has more repeaters. The reason I say that is because I tried using my Sirius in my office with a 6X9 window facing North and it was spotty at best, whereas a coworker has XM and was in an interior office but he had no trouble getting signal. Again I'm not saying...

Also remember when comparing reception between Sirius and XM that XM has many more repeaters than Sirius. I had my truck about 35 feet from my buddys truck and had him tune in the fm station and my pnp2 over road his radio no problem. So in essence I'm trying to say you will probally be fine.

How would they know you sold it? If it has a lifetime subscription there is no bill so what's the difference.

I was on the Sirius Backstage site and some people said that the signal was being received hundreds of feet away, so turn on the receiver and tune your stereo to one of the stations and see if it picks it up. I am new to this, but I believe your unit has the FM modulator built in, so it does'nt...

I tried to find info but could not. I just got Sirius on christmas and was telling my dad about it, to my suprise he said he wanted one but he does'nt have a digital radio he just has the AcDelco AM/FM tuner, so my ? is will the Audiovox tuner work with those older car radios. VO1ONE, I just ordered the car and boombox kit with the one year subscription. I liked the Xact receiver and boombox better but oh well, since you seem to know so much what are the main differences between the two, did the Xact remote have volume control? Thanks for the info!
