Directv sl3 and sl5, Wildblue, Exede, Hughesnet gen4, and Hughesnet hn9000 systems are all Ka. the Ka internet dishes are single polarity. Directv swm3 and swm5 will not work with a normal fta receiver, but have Ka capabilities as well.

is it possible that the lnb on 1 of the dishes is positioned with horizontal and vertical polarizations reversed? n/m i just noticed all receivers work at your house. my original thought was that maybe on the s9 the h tps and v tps were scanned in backwards so it didn't pick them up at your shop.
