    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

Scott, How can you compare the Manhattan to a cheaper receiver like the Openbox when you do not have an Openbox to compare it to? Buy one of those ninety dollar Openboxes so you can see the difference first hand instead of second or third party. Again, I told you bluntly that the firmware needed...

    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

I told you back in July there were motor/switch problems. Actually, You can use a 22KHz switch now to control two lnbs with the Manhattan but one of them will have to be scanned using the wrong l.o. frequency. This will result in the transponder frequencies being wrong. The channels and...

This will allow people to use the combination C/KU lnbs more efficiently. It will also allow people to use a 22KHz switch to connect a C...

    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

What happened is pretty simple. They started out with a 2MB receiver and then changed to a 4MB version. But when they rewrote the 7-15 file for the 4MB receiver, some of the 2MB code was left in it. So they ended up doing a total re-write of the firmware and this has taken some time.

    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

IMO, It is not a good idea to load a file that was pulled because it was removed for a reason. New firmware should be available for this receiver soon. If you load the pulled firmware from July, you will have to redo some things in your receiver. Then when new updated firmware is released, you...

    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

Auto FEC works in the Manhattan. I am not saying it can't fail but I have yet to see it happen.

The FEC is automatic so there is no need to enter it.
