Agree, Starz HD, Cinemax HD, TMC HD and Universal HD are must to be added channels. Before Voom21, I mean. Don't get me wrong , I liked Voom21 but watched those channels more often then Voom21.

PQ today is so good I can't remember if it ever was any better. :) I am talking about all Voom exclusives. We can compare PQ to whatever everybody will have right after the switch off.

I can't imagine somebody, even so depressed about this whole situation, will call and cancel almost one month of free programming. Absolutly doesn't make any sense. CVC just doesn't want anymore to be associated with Voom, Rainbow DBS, etc... That doesn't mean that somebody can't magically appear and continue operation separatly from CVC. CVC drops, VoomHD LLC picks it up ? :)

Wrong! All of Voomers had some service before the Voom and they can make comparison. I had TWC, then Dish Network for two years, and I know what I am talking about when I say that Voom rules HD. You on other side cannot compare Voom with HD-less, -lite whatever you have because you never had...

Best PQ? What about Panasonic 500 in dedicated room with 106" screen? And I can compare it with 61" Hitachi and Panny rules! :)

No problems here now with 106" projector and 61" Hitachi, but I agree that right after the switch the PQ suffered. Now I think it is OK, but maybe it is just for my eyes?

Don't worry. I had five appointments (not reschedules, but no show-up) and one more follow-up. Was also kind of upset. But now I am a happy Voomer for 8 months. :D

My vote for "DELETE" this thread. Or add two other options: 1. Stay with Voom, because it will live on. 2. OTA only (with Voom receiver :D )

Unless it will be HD :p , they should not. Internationls - it is E* area, let them have them.

I understand the suffering from people who can't get OTA. But I think that V* is not for them. They should look for something else. Maybe HD-Lite LIL from D* in 2007, SD LIL frow E*. Just do not start it over and over again. If you can pull out OTA, then welcom to V*! :p

Fox Sports Net North (Milwaukee). any channel that starts and ends in "HD" or has "HD" in the middle (like Encore HD West) :D

OK, For me, from channels you listed, there is only one (!) I am interested : my local Fox Sports Net. But again, it is for me only. All sporting events for me will be covered if V* had that one. I was sure they will add that channel until that deal with E*. Because cable has this channel...

Can you actually name some channels which D* has and V* doesn't. Then everybody will see if you have a point. :smug

I guess, cable for some transition period. First, D* and E* already announced that their current HD recievers will be dead later this year after transition to MPEG4. Second, they should prove that they will provide some HD content as Voom did, especially Stars HD, Cinemax HD, Encore HD...
