I have to totally agree. There would only be a couple of actual Voomers who would agree with his initial post. The rest recognize some of the issues but prefer voom to the alternatives. Silas do you actually have Voom or what?

AMEN :yes Actually I liked the meteor choice. Its chances of being right are as good as some of the others in my opinion-which I am sure will be dumped on shortly .

I have no idea on the Mets except that the right were owned by MSG. The Yankee right Sunday were owned by Yes and ESPN picked it up ntionallybut had to black it out in NY due to contract provisions with MLB.

I have had no problems with it either--at least so far. Other than being a sweepstakes entry its really an online news letter. You will probably learn more here on this forum

Hey Dragon It appears you seldom have time to do installations. What is your job? Holding the ladder on multiple story installs or loading the installers truck in the morning? Both would give you the time to post that you seem to have.

I have the same set and I leave the Voom box set to 720. I assume that less processing is good. I also use component cable rather than a DVI to HDMI cable. I feel I get fewer digital artifacts this way and I have not experienced as many of the PQ problems as others have.

To me it would be dangerous to simply put all on Basic as a preview without proper warning. Could you imagine the uproar here if suddenly 10-15 channels were removed for another tier?? The mods would have to award 100 vacations an hour :D

I already have cable- they do not have HD yet but have announced a better package than E* or D* for this year- so I will just wait and see what transpires. Probably will increase use of DVD and D-VHS players though.

Still not sure what "trolling" is but I doubt I am doing it since this is only my 4th post. Can someone define trolling for me. I visit several forums to learn as well keep up to date on certain subjects.

I am amazed at how many people only offer negative comments. It's like after a bad date they must tell the world that Suzy was a bad date even when the problem lies with themselves. I for one am happy with Voom. Its not perfect but I subscribed for HD content and they do a better job at that...
