Thanks for the tips guys. If I get up the determination, I think I will try the marker and guide wire ideas. The Voom guy did come out, and not only did he fix it--he improved it! My Satellite reception is now at a 97! Even he was surprised that he got it that high! VOOM, VOOM, VOOM!!!!!! :)

I've already posted about my install, but I'll do it here again. My install was great. He showed up on time, was polite, listened to my requests and did his best to fulfill them. He got me super reception on my satellite and OTA (~95 and 97), and was willing to stay and show me how to work...

ColdBrew, I'm almost in the same boat. My HDTV only has HDMI, and the Voom box has DVI. I bought a 10' DVI to HDMI cable from svideo.com for only $25. By far the best price I was able to find. For the same thing at Best Buy, they wanted $150!

Well, after quite a few minutes of messing around, I did manage to finally get a 94, but it was back down under 90 as of last night. I think that one or two of the bolts aren't tight enough. I still have the Voom guy coming out tomorrow, and I'm confident that he will get my signal back up...

bobaphx, I think his name was Tony. He didn't have what I would call a deep and accurate understanding of the technology, but he sure as heck knew how to install everything. I think it also helped that I was with him, chatted with him, helped him carry stuff, etc. And I did the attic crawl...
