    Tribune Broadcasting Company Blacks Out DISH Customers in 33 Markets;

I live in Santa Clarita which is located about 45 miles North of Los Angeles. Most of the LA TV Stations transmit from Mt.Wilson which isn't that far away as the crow flies. However, there are several mountain ranges between us and Mt. Wilson. The result is no OTA TV for the 200K residents...

    Hopper hdmi split

If you're going all the way to the garage, I'd recommend using an HDMI extender. Stay away from the cheap ones (balun type)(uses two cat5 cables). I use a J-Tech Pro AV (single cat5 up to 400'). It's worked perfectly for me, and it's not sensitive to noise (RF, EM, etc.). An inexpensive 1x2...

Hopper Error 311 Hard Drive Failure

About 6 months ago DISH replaced my Hopper due to a problem I was having with it. Several days after I installed the replacement Hopper I started getting Error 311 "Hard Drive Failure". If I unplug the hopper for 5 minutes, plug it back in, power it on, the error goes away. Unfortunately...

    Dish Anywhere help.

I wonder if DISH accidentally locked your IP number out? I'm very SORE about DISH right now! I've got an issue of my own which I won't discuss here. But if I can't get DISH to see the light I'm gonna have to go burn a Village somewhere :biggrin2

    Dish Anywhere help.

Ports 80, 443, and 5678 need to be open for Hopper. 80 is HTTP and 443 is HTTPS so there is no way your IT Department would have closed those two. If they blocked you ... I'd suspect 5678. IT Departments watch their bandwidth. It could have been that the spotted allot of activity on 5678 and...

Have you tried accessing it from another location besides work. It possible that your IT Department at work might have recently blocked it.

Using External Hard Drive with Hopper

Yes ... maybe so. I apologize if anyone was offended. It would be nice though (in the case that the Hopper has to be replaced) if we could just hook a USB cable between them and select "transfer all". Avoiding the expense of paying $150 or more for an external HD.

Using External Hard Drive with Hopper

I don't appreciate being called a Troll. I like my Hopper ... my original Hopper failed and I only have 10 days to send it back. So, that's the only reason I care how long it takes to transfer to an external HD. Otherwise, I could care less.

Using External Hard Drive with Hopper

Using an External Hard Drive with the Hopper is horrible. The transfer rate is about as slow as molasses in Winter Time. Couldn't the so called "Greatest Receiver Ever" have been designed with a USB 3.0 port

    FIFA 2014 > On Demand?

Hello and thanks for reading my post. Just before FIFA 2014 there was an icon supplied on my Hopper that said it would record all 64 games. What I actually got was 56 games with 8 missing. These are the ones I'm missing: Cameroon vs Brazil Australia vs Spain Greece vs Ivory Coast Costa Rica...

    Is Dish crazy...162.48 per month?

IMHO trying to determine if you're getting your moneys worth for satellite tv depends upon the amount of programming you watch. If you take advantage of every feature, and watch everything available, then most likely you're getting your moneys worth. In my case, I only have DISH because my...
