For TV service, I'd say compare the lineups from Comcast and Dish, then make your choice. If you like american sports, chances are you will be better off with Comcast than with Dish, because Dish will at best carry your Local RSN in HD for games only, whereas Comcast will probably carry it/them...

When I called to cancel Dish today, I was asked why. I clearly said: Lack of NY RSNs, Gol Tv and ESPNU in HD. Once I said lack of NY RSNs, they didn't even insisted in keeping me.

Thanks Iceberg, that's what I meant indeed. I pay 1 DVR fee, then it's 6 bucks per extra box, irrespectively of the extra box being another DVR or a regular HD receiver. On Dish, I'd pay 17 bucks, if I recall correctly, for the second HD DVR, on top of the 6 bucks DVR service fee.
